The Misfits of Dametreos

Chapter 4: Firey Skies

Aros climbed to the top of the mountain, being careful not to slip. He was on Dragon Master land so he had to be careful not to get seen by anyone nearby. He was traveling through Dragon Master land because he needed to get to Royal Knight land and did not want to travel all the way around Dragon Master land. His father had always told him that Dragon Masters were ruffians and to never cross swords with them, and that they would never let any one in their land, unlike factions such as Knights Kingdom, Classic LEGO, and Royals.
Aros continued up the mountain, stepping carefully as to not leave any clues that he had been here. He came to the top of the mountain, and noticed a small campsite with Dragon Masters camped with their dragons.
“Malkia Yunmosio,” the person who looked like their boss was talking to a young but fierce Dragon Master, “You will be leading the attack upon the Crusaders land,”
“As you know, their nearest land is east of Classic LEGO, so you will have to ride you dragons over this. Now, when you get there make sure you attack swiftly but deadly, they will have their royal navy docked as they are close to water. Take your regiment and destroy all you can! Make it quick and do not leave any foolish clues as to who we are!!”
At least two hundred Dragon Masters jumped upon there dragons and took to the sky. The rest of the Dragon Masters got back to their usual chores.
Aros sat down against a rock and muttered, “Royal Knights can wait, I need to go warn the Crusaders.…”

Alex slowly paced up and down the city walls, now and again glancing over the wall just in case there was any sign of an enemy.
“Alex, come here my boy.” Cornel Calkony was calling to Alex.
He ran steadily to the general “Yes sir?” Alex asked.
“We have just received a teleharm from an adventurer called Aros, he said that Dragon Masters were coming to attack us and to get ready for an air assault.” Calkony rubbed his gray beard and told Alex the rest of Aros's story. “We have sent our airship to pick him up it should get there and back before even the dragons are here, when he gets here I want you to bring him up to the captain.”
“Yes sir!” Alex saluted and marched back to the walls and waited for the new arrival.

“Aros!? Is that you old boy?” a middle-aged Ninja man was shouting from the cockpit of the Crusader airship.
“Shing-Shokon!” Aros ran over to the airship and sat in the cockpit and closed the door.
“What brings you to these lands, Shing?” Aros questioned.
“I am working for Crusaders now, flying people around and stuff.” Shing said, pressing a number of buttons. In reply the airship lifted off the ground.
“Look! Dragons!” Shing was gesturing towards a group of two hundred dragons with riders.
       “Shoot ‘em down!” Aros shouted.
“I can’t, we are outnumbered!” Shing drove his airship out of sight of the dragons.
An hour later the airship docked in Crusaders land.
“I take it you’re Aros, then, sir?”
A young man with red trousers and a red shirt on with mail was standing there.
“Yes and who might you be?” Aros asked.
“I am Alex, sir. I am to take you to the general, follow me.”
Aros and Alex slowly walked up to the Generals quarters.
“So what brings you to Dragon Master parts?” Alex enquired as he and Aros made their way to the General’s quarters.
“My older brother.... Reno's his name.…” Aros stared at the floor while he was walking, “I don't have any family, my father died defending this city... Krask was his name…”
Aros looked up. “Krask, I've heard stories about him, seen pictures!” Aros said, “I wonder if he was a General!”
The general's office was now a step away. Alex knocked and entered, closely followed by Aros. Alex raised his hand to his head and saluted, as did Aros.
“So... you are Aros....welcome to Kaladon…” the General looked middle-aged, but he had a look of youth in his eyes that twinkled like stars.
“The pleasure's mine, General.” Aros said, slowly bowing.
“So... what happened... back in Dragon Master land?” the General asked.
“Well…” Aros started. Suddenly there was a mighty crash and the three men rushed over to the window. The dragons had arrived.
“It's alright, the army is ready!” the General said confidently, “Alex, blow the horn!!”
Alex did just that and an army came from within the walls. The siege had begun.
Aros drew his short sword and rushed out into the courtyard. About fifty of the Dragon Masters had landed and Alex rushed off to meet them.
“Alex, they'll slaughter you!!!” Aros shouted and began rushing after Alex.
       “Like my father!!” Alex shouted.
Battle was raging all around the city walls. Crusaders and Dragon Masters were falling from the walls, here and there. Alex had already killed three Dragon Masters and Aros went to support Alex. He swung his sword hard and chopped a dragon’s head off. Alex was taking on six at a time! Aros tried to fight off the Dragon Masters, but Alex was swinging his spear with such speed and madness it seemed he was invincible. Now only two remained trying to kill Alex. Alex picked up a small axe that was on the floor and threw it at one of the remaining Dragon Masters, it stuck in his neck.
“Now you will suffer the wrath of the Dragon Master, Yalkia Yunmosio!!”
He raised his broad sword and brought it down. It missed entirely, a short sword was stuck in his back. Aros pulled his sword from the Dragon Master's back. Yalkia dropped to the ground, dead. The Dragon Masters were retreating.
“Aros.... you saved my... life...thanks…” Alex pulled himself up.
“Thanks very much, come let us celebrate with the general!” Alex said smiling.
“I am sorry, I have lingered here too long, I have to go, but I feel we shall meet again, good bye Alex.” Aros said patting Alex on the back.
“No, this will not be the last time. Goodbye, Aros the Great!!” said Alex.
