Re: Medieval Blacksmith will be a LEGO Ideas set

The set has been a complete joy to build. I've learned new methods of putting buildings together going through the process, and I'm actually dragging out completing the build because it honestly reminds me of putting the Kings Mountain Fortress or some of the Forestmen builds together. Just somethin...

Re: What was your first LEGO set?

While I am not certain that this was the first set given to me, The Knight's Castle (6073) was my first Castle set. The set was a birthday present from my mom, and it made me a Black Falcons fan for life.

Re: Medieval Blacksmith will be a LEGO Ideas set

I missed out on the Fan-Designed blacksmith back in the early 00's, so this one is a must-get for me. Yeah, I have the smaller blacksmith sets, but this one stands out. The fact that my favorite faction, The Black Falcons, are featured is icing on the cake. I ordered a set via Lego, and I'm trying t...

Re: Help Classic Castle be re-released!

Just voted for our beloved Castle line. I suggested they include a grouping of Black Falcons, Crusaders, Forestmen, and Black Knights in the 90th Anniversary set.

Re: favorite castle weapon

There are so many great castle weapons, but my all time favorite is the Black Short Sword from 6041 Armor Shop. I somehow ended up with this through a friend giving me his 1980s castle sets. I definitely lucked out on this. Still to this day, I only have the one black short sword amidst a plethora o...

Not that impressed with this line

Overall, I have found the new Castle sets very, well "underwhelming". I've looked at their photos on the Lego website, seen the models up close at the Lego Store, and I just don't like them. I see these sets as a rehash of the last two Kingdoms lines. I thoroughly enjoyed the last two line...

Re: The OTHER 2012 Lego Castle

"Based on the castle in the Count Duckula cartoons." Now that is a blast from the past. Good call! This particular set has some many ways to complement the other castle sets that have come out recently. With LOTR sets coming out, it'll be tough to budget this one in. BUT, where there is a ...

Re: An Email to Lego

For Lego to get a license for "The Hobbit" makes so much sense. I hope it happens!

That is a great goal to accomplish! Actually, after reading this I now want to finish my goal of collecting each of the major castles. Again great job!

Re: Review: 2010 Kingdoms advent calendar

I had a lot of fun with this year's Castle advent calendar. Each pack had extras in it such as spears, swords, apples, and the queen's crown. All in all it was a nice set for Christmas, and I'm glad that TLC put it out. I can only hope they do something like this again in the future.

Re: 10193 Medieval Market Village - Official Thread

I'm actually in the process of building the set. I finally (don't stone me!) got this one from the Discover Mills Lego Store the other day since real life kept me from compleating it the day I had it in my grasp! I'll say this about the set. It reminds me of the old school sets with the large brick ...

This looks like a sly nod to the old Yellow Castle. Also the pieces reminded me of the some of the El Dorado Fortress peices with the yellow and white mix. To me this is a great intro for youngsters to get into castle sets. I actually would have benifitted from a set such as this. My first set was t...

If you like the Vladek faction, or just like a fortress made from a lot of black pieces then I recomend it.

With both of my Valdek's Dark Fortress sets I too received the extra bags. I ended up with some exrta plate armor, swords, small bricks, and snake. Not too bad for the best castle of the KKII line. IMO... :o Vladek and his Shadow Knights were the highlight of the KKII line. Too many jellybeans!!!!!!...
