While I am not certain that this was the first set given to me, The Knight's Castle (6073) was my first Castle set. The set was a birthday present from my mom, and it made me a Black Falcons fan for life.

I had a lot of fun with this year's Castle advent calendar. Each pack had extras in it such as spears, swords, apples, and the queen's crown. All in all it was a nice set for Christmas, and I'm glad that TLC put it out. I can only hope they do something like this again in the future.

If you like the Vladek faction, or just like a fortress made from a lot of black pieces then I recomend it.

With both of my Valdek's Dark Fortress sets I too received the extra bags. I ended up with some exrta plate armor, swords, small bricks, and snake. Not too bad for the best castle of the KKII line.
