Re: [MOC] – The Old Watermill

Brilliant MOC, I love the attention for color, with the white not being completely white but with touches of tan and dark tan. Well done! :)

Re: LEGO Fanwelt: Lowlug's Chain of Islands

The way you guys put these islands on little pieces of water means that you could easily add or take away pieces or rearrange them to have an ever growing and evolving group display. We noticed that during the planning, since one builder had to step back and wasn't able to join the event, sadly. On...

Re: Colossal Castle Contest 10

So I take it this incorporation of my architecture detail doesn't fit the rules, since it's a 99% copy of my first entry: 42 No, yours is fine. What we don't want is for someone to enter a MOC in another category, and then just submit a close-up of one small piece in the architectural details categ...

Re: Modern day castle builders

Nice site you got there! Plans for a castle near Almere (the Netherlands) never came further than this: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/0/0c/Kasteel_van_Almere_Maart_2012.JPG/320px-Kasteel_van_Almere_Maart_2012.JPG They started building in 2002, but it was left unfinished since 2...

Re: Colossal Castle Contest 10

Can I use the medieval architectural detail (see below) I submitted to that category to make another MOC for another category? Or can I submit only one of the entries, since they feature the same part? 28. An entry can not be submitted to more than one category. You may incorporate the same buildin...

Re: Colossal Castle Contest 7

In the "Alternate universe" catagory; do we have to use all/most pieces from the set?

Contest results came earlier than I expected - and I didn't expect to win something either, there was a big amount of good entries, as well as in all other sections. Congratulations to all other winners, and thanks to CC and LEGO for their efforts. :D

Now I may not be correct on these assumptions, but it seems to me that the rules are pretty clear-cut at this point. Pushing those rules probably won't work. In otherwords, building a tower that is six-feet tall probably won't win many votes, even if the footprint isn't that large. At this point, I...

I think that the size limitations are a great idea as they prevent fans (such as myself) from using scale to impress the judges, rather than talent. It should definitely make this contest interesting. Well, the size of the castles in official sets are way off reality, they're not even as big as a b...
