Re: How long do you keep your MOCS

Mine last as long as I don't need the pieces, and if I like it. As for LEGO sets: My Bag End set for example is still assembled (though I bought another one), while the Indiana Crystal Skull set a few years ago didn't even get finished. For my MOCs, it depends again. I have a few con and show vetera...

Re: BrickCon Castle Planning 2012 (And Convention Wrap-up)

I apparently suck at finding pictures on Flickr. What is the group name? How do I get to the pictures dad burn it?!

Sounds like another Pacific Northwest Castle Group homerun. Nicely done guys and gals. So, where do I go for pictures?

Re: Castle at Bricks Cascade 2012

Tentatively between January1st and December 31st, 2013. I wouldn't be surprised to see the con move to a different spot on the calendar. More will come soon. Sorry to have missed you! Will you be at BC'12?

Re: Castle at Bricks Cascade 2012

Well so I found the planning here. Game of Thrones, huh? Love the series, but I'm not sure what I could put together in time for the con. I have some ole' stand-by MOCs that may have to fit in until I can get serious about what to build next. Do you have an over-all idea of what you want the collabo...

Re: BrickCon 2012 Collaborative Project: Age of Empires II

Wow, thats quite a build, I am most impressed. Lots of great details. That makes me think... This goes to show us that there are details we can't bring over form the game, yet others we can include that the game lacks. I think of it as adapting a novel into a movie; the story is altered in the new m...

Re: BrickCon 2012 Collaborative Project: Age of Empires II

This a great idea. I played this game for many, many hours when my kiddos were itty bitty. Brings back a lot of memories. I most often played the Britons in Blue ("choppah"), I love it. Two or three full battalions of upgraded longbowmen protecting trebs, man I was unstoppable. Maybe I can...

Re: BrickArms Polearms - Will Needs *YOUR* Feedback!

Well I did get my hands on a couple of halberds over the weekend. I told Will how much I liked them. I love the rest of these as well. It's great to see Will take brickArms down the bladed weapon path. His designs have always matched the chunky-ness of our beloved mini-fig world.

Re: Last March of the Ents

This truly is one of those builds that must be seen in person. The details are so many and intricate that they can't be fully appreciated in a picture. I was most pleased to be able to see it in the flesh. The tower is primarily SNOT, and it's sheen size is just jaw dropping. However I agree with Fr...

Josh--I'll bring some more fill-in, and some "bloody peasants!" going about their dreary life's toil. And a few other small surprises to work in.

Re: BrickCon Castle Planning

It really will be like a reunion! it will be good to see you man.

I have suffered a building setback, a gout attack has sidelined me these last two days. It means I may have less to bring, we'll have our enthusiasm!

I second the notion. Make it base 8-ey and bring it along. But I really do like the unconventional base.
