I have not, but according to Google, it is a sort of fortified farmhouse or estate that was common along the English-Scots border. That sounds like a fun concept to build, actually ... once I have enough sloped bricks to make a roof, that is. ;) The tower garrison is not composed of part-time militi...

By self-sufficient, I mean, it's only got a small garrison and storeroom. While the Crusader tower had a semi-permanent corps of soldiers attached to it and stores to last several months, due to its relative isolation and the difficulty of bringing relief forces and fresh supplies, this one's garris...

I think I'd buy this if LEGO started to produce it as a set.

The Guardhouse

Bricklink hath provided. And I hath built. eth. Another small tower, this time owned by the Black Knights. Not a self-sufficient fortification like the Crusader tower, it's more in the style of a guardhouse watching the road to a fortified town or city, with a small garrison rotated out from there t...

Actually, that's because they're not actually deeplinks
Thank you for the tutorial. The things we learn ... :P
And I like how you made one of the bandits a woman
Integral to the story. ;)
There are children here, you know! (I think)
Tell you what, I'll put a little disclaimer on it.

Yes. The results are limited, especially if the creasing is particularly bad.

Are those deep links? That don't automatically go public? Yes, those are deeplinks. No, going by your question, I guess they didn't go public. :P That's a great back story you created for this. Thanks. It grew slowly, and was originally going to have those knights running away from some Police a la...

"Nothing fancy," he says.

The whole thing is great, but I like the roof the best. It just looks so ... real.

I like that design on the roof, and the interior is pure win. Just the right amount of clutter ... and a barrel of fire! :D

Not a fan of the front wall though. Specifically the large blank space between the door and window. Maybe a bit of ivy crawling up the stones?

Peasant's Cottage

Well, I've got something of a sad story to tell. A sad, violent tale. Rated PG-13. Some of my first small BrickLink orders have started to come in, and so I began disassembling that border tower to build something new. Partway through I decided I wanted to whip up something different before another ...

Some of you might question the tricone hats for the infantry; the explanation is that I wanted a more sophisticated and civilized look for my guys and with the tricone hats, they sure do look that way They do! The tricorne hats and epaulets mixed with the shields and Medieval weapons makes me think...

My figs don't stay in one piece long enough to retain names, changing allegiances depending on which army is going to inhabit the current fortification. A red breastplate or scale torso with blue arms is a Crusader; with black arms, a Black Knight. A blue scale torso with black arms and legs is a Bl...
