Re: Collectible minifigures series 10 and CMF encyclopedia 2

rboettcherjr, I obtained most of them by scavenging every Target, Walmart, and Toysrus in my area on regular basis, in addition to the areas my work took me to. I always left a couple behind in order to give others (hopefully kids) a chance as well. It stunk there were only 3 per box. It was always ...

Re: Collectible minifigures series 10 and CMF encyclopedia 2

I just received 3 of the Roman Commanders that I ordered via E-bay a couple days ago ... as much as I would love to dissuade folks from buying them in order to leave more for me, I can't. They are a great fig. I have 11 more on the way and am waiting patiently for my local stores to get them. I'm gl...

Garrettsbrau Castle

I've been working on this off and on for almost two years. Ideally I would have been able to but some better detail on the outside, but with baby #1 on the way I needed to finish ASAP since the "LEGO room" will soon become a nursery (my wife has been very patient so I'm grateful I've had t...

Re: 2008 Castle Chess set....insane.

Assuming you kept it MISB, definitely a good investment. I have, however, seen them going for as little as $275 on ebay recently ... complete, though not MISB. The $1600 list price on Amazon doesn't mean people are actually buying them at that price (maybe they are though). Regardless, I'm sure some...

Re: Kingdoms Chess!!!

Just got my sets from FedEx and nothing is glued. The main base is pretty useless (about what I expected), though I'm sure some enterprising builder will find a way to put it to use. The large green base plate is a plus. Real Lion Knights instead of Jesters and a true Dragon King and Queen would ha...

Re: Kingdoms Chess!!!

I find it interesting/ironic that the role of "Knight" on the Lion Knight side is played by the Jesters. I suppose there's no obvious place to put them. The base is pretty bad and useless, but I have no problem with that given all the minifigs and accessories for this relatively low price ...

Re: Kingdoms Chess!!!

Love it! This one seemed to sneak under the RADAR ... I hadn't heard anything about it, and here it is. I couldn't help but order 5 right away as I suspect these will go fast. Anyone know what variation of armor is on the Dragon Knight Bishops? This set is an incredible value and an ultimate army bu...

Re: Size of Armies

I'm at a little over 1200 crownies (I know . . . I'm addicted :D ). My ultimate goal was to pit them against the roughly 1000 Viking/Shadow knight army, but I haven't had the time so I went the easy route and just set up all the crownies (with some dwarfs mixed in) in and around my most recent castl...

Vidar Castle

After almost a year I've finally had time to finish my fourth MOC. I kept the landscaping outside the castle sparse since my next line of effort will be staging a massive Crownie vs. Viking battle :D  . Thanks for taking a look! Re: 10193 Medieval Market Village - Official Thread

After holding out as long as I could I ordered four from SaH this past Friday. I figured I'll open/play with two and save the other two MISB. Looks like I jumped in on the right time . . . they were "available now" when I ordered but went on " Backorders accepted, will ship by 20 May....

Re: Castle Evolution Stage |3|

Magnificent. Not much to add on top of what has already been said, but I do love how it actually has gotten bigger . . . fits in well with the "evolution" theme. Excellent job with the ongoing engineering activity, and the landscaping is terrific. I look forward to "Stage 4."

I really like it. The interior is really what sells it to me - it has a realistic "disheveled" feel to it. I'm also guessing the scene is depicting a robbery in progress, though I'm not 100% sure. Very neat little moc!

My original version of Olamic Castle had a wooden wall around it. It proved perfect for fending off the pillaging vikings
