I didn't MOC all that much until recently. It may help to try to form a vision of what you want in your mind. Then, just try to build one part of it at a time and keep adding on as you go. In my case, I wanted a big castle, and I started with the portcullis area of King's Castle Siege and built from...

The figs are unglued. I use them as "elite" knights and skeleton warriors. Like either the cream or the crop or (for the knights) just the really rich ones...haven't decided yet.

I think I got mine at Legoland Deutschland. I miss Germany...Detroit is horrible for Lego (and everything else).

I'd have to say that my LEGO-related resolution for the new year is to make some nice MOCs in the same vein as Final Fantasy VI. I love the way there's plenty of medieval-looking elements to that game, but at the same time, parts of the world look to be nearing the brink of an industrial revolution...

Seems like a good plan to me! You may want to decide what pieces will be lumped together and what will be separated, also. For instance, I sort all normal bricks up to 2*4 with one area for each size, but past that I just have 1*X and 2*X. Remember that larger bricks will need more space! Storage fo...

I'd go with the chess set. Chess set: excellent figs, and you can use the bricks and accessories. Since you have many fantasy era sets already, they'll fit in pretty well. In case you're wondering what to do with the black and white tiles, maybe make one or more tile floors or something... KK sets: ...

For the holidays, I got:
Troll Warship
Dwarves' Mine Defender
Troll Warrior

I was glad to be able to boost my population of trolls and dwarves, plus I got another dragon.

I think there should be at least one short feminine hairstyle. Not all women have long hair.
