Re: Chenonceau WIP

Quite impressive! I like the windows, I may have to use that idea, though I am curious what was done for the stained glass windows. Thanks Velliscig. The stained glass has on the inside a layer of transparent bricks against it for support making a "casing" for the bright bricks....

Re: Chenonceau WIP

Great to see it finished! Love the light shining through the colored window. Must say again that this is a really wonderful build that inspires many of us! The light through the other windows look a bit bluish, have you thought of using older lightbricks to get a warmer and more natural light? Than...

Re: Chenonceau WIP

Right now it is in my dining room :) Which is the only place where I can keep the whole thing right now but I will display it at br...

Re: Greatest Medieval Civilization?

I did hear that the Spanish were aided by lots of local tribes against the Aztecs, who obviously had a few axes to grind! What has always astonished me is how a band of gold seeking adventures who would have endured months of the rigours of sea travel (scury, poor supply chain) and on alien soil th...

Re: Greatest Medieval Civilization?

Casting further afield I wonder how Aztec/Olmec/Inca cultures would compare against the west. Kevdragon Good Point Kevdragon. Most of the medieval civilization in the West would dwarf next to Teotihuacan WHat most people don't know is that the Zenit of the Aztec civilization was in 1300-1400 A.D (i...

Re: Minifigures Series 7

We have also seen them in Houston and other places in Texas. One of my favorite series thus far. Being originally from Mexico I am glad they did an Azteg warrior. Technically they should have called him an Eagle Warrior. In the original Aztec language it was called cuāuhtli. Make me want to get a bu...

Re: Chenonceau WIP

Bit of a mine but I wanted to say that this looks very good. We were lucky to visit this site during our Christmas trip and to see it in Lego form is pretty cool. Look forward to seeing the end product! Thanks Redav. I am still waiting a large shipment of roof (aka black slopes) from Denmark to fin...
