Introducing LAMLtv

I just launched a video podcast at LAML. And Classic-Castle member DARKspawn is one of the builders we'll be having on the show, so I thought I would let you all know and see what people here think about online video and LEGO.

Re: BrickFair/BrickCon, has the torch been passed?

If I can chime in, LAML did try to give BrickFair its due amount of coverage. We had a call in from BrickFair and attempted to get the organizer Todd Webb on. If you listen to the episode with the BrickFair call in you will hear a couple thoughts about the BrickFair vs BrickFest discussion. Assuming...

Thanks guys for the great feedback. And now you've given me another interesting topic that I might just have to get to as it seems more engaging than talking about TLC's fan relations. On the same line of thought as the amount of female minifigs, did anyone happen to notice what percent of LEGO amba...

Your Views On The LEGO Company

Hey All, I host a LEGO podcast, LAMLradio . This week I'm doing a show and at one part in it I will be discussing The LEGO Company and comparing it to other large organizations. I've heard many people (myself included) suggest that the relation LEGO has with AFOL is unique and like no other. I'm hop...

The Triari looks just a little too British for my tastes, but all the rest seem great. I love the use of the fire helmet.

I would suggest the best free hosting service is WordPress.com . I know you don't want a blog, but from their features page: WordPress.com has a feature called “pages” which allows you to easily create web pages. For example, you could add an “about me” page with your biography, and a link to that p...

Do you really think that an online community can solve "real life" issues? :?

I would have to disagree with most, if not all of the first post. Most of the time, the LEGO community can really be a cure for life's troubles. I'm not sure if that was meant as a joke or not, but I really don't see how this is true. I have seen many cases where a builder has dropped out of the LEG...

I have stretched the point in previous years, so I guess I'll do it again. You are hereby allowed to enter ancient battles. However, I'm not going to allow LDraw creations. For this contest, I prefer to see what people can do with the bricks they actually have. Sounds good! A suggestion if I may, i...

A couple questions Josh. I have not seen them addressed or asked, so I hope I'm not being too much of a problem. :) 1. Build an medieval battle scene (all figs involved must be of castle persuasion. Ninja is allowed). Would this exclude the Roman empire? Clearly the period of 40BC-300AD is not "...

Thanks for the comment, and is your movie on the internet yet? I'd like to see it. No, its not. I still need to add the sound, and I'm not very happy with it. It was more of a test to see how well I could edit the images using photoshop. In that way I'm pretty happy with it: http://www.brickshelf.c...

I would suggest you upgrade your sound effects. Can you take pictures using your computer? If you can you would be able to see your images before you take the next one. And keep working away at it! I just finished one film so I know how time consuming it can be, but it is well worth the effor...
