The building seen through the arch is Pavilion 1 of the All-Russian Exhibition Center. The view from the other side has the People's Friendship Fountain in front of the pavilion.

Very nicely done! I really like the panel for the sail. You could probably do a striped sail with 3 1 x 2 x 3 panels--maybe a white in the middle & two reds on either side. It would widen it, but the extra width might look good too.

At BrickFest, KK Quah had a notebook about his terrain design system, I think called the Hill & Ridge Modular System. I asked him if it was on his website and he said not yet. What I read of his was pretty flexible and interesting--perhaps we can get him to contribute to this discussion. I sent ...

BTW, sorry for the long-winded post. Didn't realize I went on as much about it! Also, I sound more critical than I mean to about internal Lugnet politics. My point is more that that kind of thing is necessary and inevitable with any community the size of Lugnet than that it's a bad thing... but it i...

Great topic, Bruce. I find online communities fascinating (good thing too, since a lot of my job is custom software for online communities). I vote that fragmentation is a Good Thing. It allows, as Nathan points out, me to visit a site that fits my mood and interest at the moment. Look at CC's sloga...

Not really sure--I don't ever remember *not* having Lego. I could probably narrow down to the first three or four sets that I had, but I don't know which one came first. I voted for 71-75, since that's the right range.

That castle is great! This is my favourite large castle I have ever seen built! Awesome work! The thing that makes this castle stand out from the rest is the little details such as the half-stud offsets on the crosses and such. Fantastic castle, I hope to see many more pictures! Thanks, flattery wi...

:?: Has TLC ever done this? Made 2 different set designs for specific countries? The cannons that came with lots of pirate sets were different between US and non-US versions. The US versions were of the Canon, Disabled or Canon, Non-Shooting variety and the ones for non-US were of the Shooting vari...
