Re: Dino Attack: 7475 Review/Heads

Looking at the BrickLink catalogue of masked faces I wonder if anybody else get the feel this is an owl...? http://www.bricklink.com/P/1/3626bpb55.gif Either that or it's a new bank-heist theme... since the number of police in Lego Town is so high you have to assume that there are lots of criminals...

Hey, a 26-year old impressing his parents with something he built out of a child's plastic building block toy? That's saying something. Yeah, I'm 31 and do the same thing. 8) And not surprisingly, my mom is way more impressed with my MOCs than my wife is. What's up with that? :? Sean Let's hope you...

I can't say that I have a favorite piece. A Lego piece by itself is a pretty silly thing; only in combination do they gain value and interest. I find that I use 1 x 3s and 2 x 3s quite a bit; something in me finds the proportions of odd stud lengths more appealing than even. I think the pieces that ...

"Shut up, Ted!"

Congrats, you just got me in trouble with my co-workers for laughing too hard in the cube farm!

Mine's insured through a rider on homeowner's. Be prepared to show an inventory of what you have and justification of the value--BrickLink's price guide will help you here. It doesn't hurt to have photographic or videotaped evidence either (but that's a good idea for all your insured valuables). I'v...

Most of the time I listen to music when building. Simply because I listen to music most of the time :-) I'm in the same camp, Jojo! I'm usually a classical music guy; typically Beethoven, Bach, and Sibelius get the nod (probably in that order). The format of the string quartet always seems to inspi...

Another fairly common solution to this is to have the first arch support a clerestory/choir/balcony/whatever and the second arch comes from its edge. That removes the need for the bracing across the lower archway. A good way to give some super-strength to your design would be to pair it up using 8 a...

Welcome, your pontiff-ship. You are now Classic-Castle. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.

The point that Lego seems to have missed for several years now is that they should MAKE SETS THAT STAND ON THEIR OWN rather than glomming onto the popularity of children's fads. I think every one of us here can cite examples of products, television shows, etc. that have been the rage for three years...

Stellar work!

A suggestion (not necessarily for this MOC but for the direction these houses seem to be heading): it would be interesting to see some variation in the front to back distance of a row of houses. That would really give it a twisty-turny feel.

Ah, the delightful Space Hippo. Paging George Lucas, paging George Lucas... your AT-AT ripoff is waiting in aisle 6! And don't get me started about the storage boxes in the legs--what a way to lose structural integrity of your highest load-bearing components! Seriously, this is one of my favor...

I'd love to see a twisty-turny medieval town made out of structures like that. MORE PLEASE!

More Castle Peregrine instructions

Whew. My computer is tired, after a weeklong session of rendering. But the result is that all parts of Castle Peregrine built to date now have published instructions! You can access the instructions on my MOCpages.com website: http://www.mocpages.com/home.php/1104 Happy building! BTW, is there any i...
