Re: CCC XII naughty list - updated Dec 23

FYI, I submitted my Forest March MOC in the Out with the New category by mistake. I entered it a second time in the Misc. small category to fix the issue. That's where it was supposed to go. :D Hm, actually, although you submitted it twice, I think it was actually the "Horse Thieves" entr...

Re: Colossal Castle Contest 12

I think this may have already been addressed, but I couldn't find it; would a custom name/titled brick be ok to use in the border of a build? Or would this count as a custom element? Thanks everyone, and sorry for the late question. It's been done before in years past-- for example, this one...

Re: Colossal Castle Contest 12

I am pretty sure I just submitted an entry to the small misc. category that was meant for Medieval Husbandry. Its a 48x48 footprint, should I just resubmit with the corrections? Or are there other hoops as well. Which one? Treetrunk house? I actually just flagged that as potentially moving to Misc-...

Re: Conspiracy Falconists

"Despite widespread photographic proof to the contrary, some people claim that the Black Falcon's banners were coloured green and white in this set, and were changed to blue and white with the release of 1986's 6074 Black Falcon's Fortress." What exactly is the claim? That LEGO re-package...

Re: Alignments

I personally feel that the Wolfpack was the beginning of all this(they seemed to have replaced the woodsmen), and it gradually led to the Fright Knights, and then other stuff like that. [...] EDIT: I'm kind of wondering if Blacktron vs Space Police was the precursor for all of this, since that pred...

Re: We're back! - was : Server shutdown Thurs March 20

Hm. I can't replicate this either. Just to confirm, you're going to this link: http://classic-castle.com/forum/search.php?search_id=newposts And it's giving you an empty list? If I get a chance I'll look a little further-- I wouldn't have thought this would be account-based, but sounds like it might...

(but who is Dave, sorry for my bad knowledge  ) Hey, I'm Dave, AKA DaveE, AKA Dave Eaton, AKA davee123! And as your new admin, I claim the right of Primum Figurae Femininae, the right to all your first female minifigures! ... Or... no? I'm being told no. Darn. I've been in the LEGO community ...

Re: 383 Soldier Variation?

Yeah, I find it unlikely that it wasn't done by either the OP, or one of their friends/family. But, that said, if someone's aware of variants, it would be interesting to note.

383 Soldier Variation?

On BrickSet, someone's claiming that they have a variant of this minifigure with BLUE arms from 383 Knight's Tournament : http://img.bricklink.com/M/cas230.gif Is anyone aware of that happening there or elsewhere? (I certainly don't remember seeing anyone report that, but I wouldn't be terribly surp...

Re: Jelly Bean Knights

For me, the colors weren't really a huge issue. The problems I had with them were: 1) There weren't really any "soldiers" or generic figures, other than the Shadow Knights (who were awesome). There was a tiny smattering in later sets, but none initially. And what does every LEGO castle fan...

Hey, if we included them with the Crown Knights, I think there'd be a solid argument for including the Red Lions, Royal Knights, and Knight's Kingdom 1 figs with the Crusaders!

Re: Castle poll

Crusaders are by FAR the most numerous Actually, I'm gonna have to take that back! If you owned 1 of every LEGO set, by my count you'd have: Crusaders Crown Knights Structures (Large) 2 < 1 structures (Medium) 4 < 3 Structures (Small) 0 > 4 (counts mini chess towers) Kings 0 > 5 Wizards 0 > 3 Soldi...

Re: Castle poll

Crusaders are by FAR the most numerous (plus 2 large castles and 4 small wall sections), but the Crown knights admittedly have a *dragon*. The Lion Knights, Black Falcons, Wolfpack, Royal Knights, "Green Dragons", Leo's Knights, Bulls, Black Knights, Classic Castle Knights, Forestmen, Dark...

Re: Faction of the Knight from the Guarded Inn (6067)

To my knowledge, there are only 2 minifigs who MIGHT be Crusaders that have blue torsos (the Knights from 6067 and 6041). All the other Crusaders have red torsos. Also, apart from the 2 "questionable" ones, no Crusader knight ever wears a black grille helmet. There is ONE that *does* wear ...

Re: What's Needed for Cuusoo Success?

Part of the side effect of CUUSOO (although probably not an intent of it) is humbling the AFOL community. For many years, various stubborn and vocal AFOLs have insisted that their ideas would make AMAZING sets, and would sell like hotcakes, no matter what others tell them. This is (sadly) a way to s...
