It does make sense though. The battle pack comes fully equipped with different weapons and shields. The tic-tac-toe set comes with the same weapons and no shields - but this is still a better deal overall. Thats whats frustrating. They apparently can sell 10 fully armored figures, plus a board and ...

What gets me is that they are willing to sell this set for $15 but the battle pack is $13 for half as many figs.

whats dum is that you contradict my statement, but completely agree that few people will buy the set. No, I said it may or may not sell well and only Lego will know. What I was contradicting was the ludicrous statement that is made again and again about "the exception that proves the rule"...

youre the exception that proves the rule This is a dumb saying which is untrue. I imagine that most of those who are whining about the price on this forum will look at the options and eventually get it, especially once reviews start coming in. The price/piece really is not bad at all and the number...

im confused as to whom this is supposed to appeal to; its way too expensive for kids and afols arent willing to spend that kind of money on a chess set. i dont buy the planned price reduction, for a company the size of lego with a product that has limited appeal all that really does is cut down the...

halo really isnt overrated. whats really so great about it though is the huge community. cod4 is better though. lego halo might be cool but it would never happen, and probably not be succesful. but who knows, from all the trash talking kids i hear on xbl it might sell pretty well now what would real...

nothing non-military in the middle ages was interesting. sure there were lots and lots of peasant farmers but lego isnt going to make sets of them because theyre boring.

I like the premolded animals for the same reason other people said because they look real. Real horses are better than brick built horses... and so on. Premolded animals are good for another reason as well because they keep the piece count down in a set which allows the set to be better. hows it go...

The beauty of the Impulse sets is that they fill the niche in the impulse toy shopping market. Lego has lots of sets on the shelves right now that are over $10, and a few that are in the $5-$8 range. These beauties will probably be about $3. A typical family shopping at Target on a Saturday will pa...
