I quite often give the children of my friends free bags of Lego....I find lots of cheap Lego at carboots etc, take out anything interesting and pass the remainder on. I don`t do this to complete sets, I may add....just loose stuff. So does that count?

My eight year old son would kill for Pokemon or Yu Gi Oh Lego. Seriously. And guess who is more representative of TLC`s target market? Us or him? But they won`t make either, because the craze for both is already over its peak. What`s going to be the craze for eight year old boys in two years time? T...

Legoland is great, but most of the rides are aimed at the under-tens. I`m a middle aged mum and was with my kids, so was allowed to make a complete fool of myself by visibly enjoying everything. If you haven`t been to a Legoland before you`ll have fun looking at all the stuff built from Lego, and Mi...

Homeschooling is very, very rare in the UK. Parents have a right to do so, but there is very little practical support for it at a local level. I don`t personally know or have heard of a single homeschooled child. But until I was 11, my parents moved around a lot abroad and many of the schools I occa...

What is 8th Grade anyway? The grade that follows 7th and preceeds 9th? :D Ho ho ho...well I asked for that one didn`t I? I`m reading all these responses and wondering if there are many more secret Lego fans out there than any of us ever dreamed of? Except they are all too scared to "com...

The eighth year of grammar school (not including preschool and kindergarten, because those aren't always mandatory) in the American school system. It is immediately followed by 4 yeras of high school, and then finally college. I don't know if it's set up similarly anywhere else in the world. Certai...

I went into a Dark Age for about four years....and for about twenty years when was a teenager/young woman, but here I am again! Once you`ve got Lego in your blood it never really goes away.

Just don`t get rid of any of your stuff, Sir Smittens. You`ll REALLY regret it when you come back.

It`s a very nice keychain. (Or keyring as we call them over here. ) I bought several keychains on my last Legoland trip, but didn`t see this one which is a pity because I would have liked it. I didn`t see any good Castle ones at all! Though currently I`m using a Lego Santa one...with a leg missing.....

Well I`m really grown up...verging on old age....and frankly I don`t care what people think of my collecting habit. Our house is full of toys...and more than half of them belong to Hubby and me, not the kids. For us it`s normal. It`s our individualities that make us unique people after all. Who want...

Looks good. :) One tip for cutting this sort of plastic...cut it with a little bit of extra, then sand it down to your mark using a flat-plate sander, like the ones used for sanding filler flat on walls. If you have one! It`s very tedious to do it by hand with a sanding block, but both methods give ...

It`s a nice design, but it`s very bright, no? I`d prefer it in something a bit more muted, like brown. Or even green or red.

Pitchfork is nice though.

Did you really not enjoy the movie that much Lady Val? I can understand that the movie was a stretch from history, but i would think you might enjoy the movie a bit more as William Wallace is one of Scotland's greatest national heroes. (Have you ever been to his monument? Just wondering.) I enjoyed...
