Re: Emperor Scorpion Riders

Excellent work! I really like the repeater crossbow design. I may have to borrow some of these techniques.

The carriage doesn't fit through the castle gate.

Re: My new Orc Door Knocker

Nice! It has a very orcish look to it. I think it could do with a bit more color, but I also tend to think of orcs as being very fond of colorful decorations.

Re: Conflict entry: Get off my hill!

Very nice! I wish there was a bigger picture of the actual conflict though. I agree. Forum rules limiting picture size led to the available sizes falling into unfortunate brackets, and only a small picture was allowed. You could upload the full-sized pictures to Flickr/Brickshelf/MOCpages/your plat...

Re: Using Collectible Figure Parts in Castle MOCs

I have yet to find a Castle use for any of the parts in the series 4 skateboarder. Which is mildly aggravating, since I have umpteen frillion of him.

Re: favorite skeleton type?

I went with the Ninjago ones, but solely because the new arms offer a wider array of posing options than the straight ones, and can actually BE posed (unlike the Royal Knights era ones). I don't care much for the studded Ninjago skulls, although I guess a little more variety is nice. I've started pu...

Re: Weekly Set Review: Troll Battle Wheel

Its kind of a silly set. And the trolls are facing the wrong way... About the only thing it had going for it was that at the time, IIRC, it was the best way to get a few troll figs relatively cheaply. I may be wrong, but I think that this came out before the single troll impulse set and the 5-fig b...

Re: New York Toy Fair 2011

It looks like these sets will give us the opportunity to beef up the ranks of our dragon knights, which is pretty cool. And I'm always in favor of more civilians. All in all, I think I'm even more excited about these sets than I was about the first round of Kingdoms sets.

Re: Weekly Set Review: Prison Carriage Rescue

While it's not terribly impressive as a set, it's a great army builder. You get three figures, including the lion knight with the bucket helm, a sword and shield set for each faction, a spear, a torch, and a horse with a helmet. By adding a few of the grey saddles from the last series, you can build...
