Re: Fantasy-era barding: lousy clips, or my bad luck?

Hmm. None of mine have broken clips; I think I have nine total. Granted, I don't fiddle with them much, but they've all been clamping swords for years.

Re: CGTS-6959 Remix-Wolfpack Hideout

The baseplate completely fooled me at first glance, and definitely makes the build stand out.

Crazy Arms Kickstarter

Hey folks, I can't be the only one who has wished for a wide range of arms for various poses. This Kickstarter (which is not mine, but which I really want to see funded) has 11 days to go and needs about $4,000. If you have some spare scratch and have always wanted arms that allow for more dynamic p...

That's awesome. Wasn't Saxa wielding The Egyptian's daggers by this point though?

Very cool! You did a nice job of recreating the characters from the show in recognizable form.

Re: CC Set Review: 9474 - The Battle of Helm's Deep

I really liked this set. It was pretty pricey, but given that it's a licensed-theme set, there's really no helping that. It was a very cool build with a lot of useful parts, a good minifig and accessory count, and several parts that seemed to be (at the time of its release) exclusive to it. It's the...

That is spectacular! I wonder what the shift to black bricks on the rear tower signifies. Shadow? Black magic? Ran out of bley? ;-)

Nice foliage. The waterfall is also really good; it looks very natural. At first glance I though the sloped were just piled on.

Troll-themed breastplate decals?

Has anyone seen any? I'm looking for something with the troll skull from the 2008-2009 line (and ideally a bit more decoration) that is designed to be put on a breastplate piece.

Re: Archers in Front or Behind?

Archers were usually posted at the rear of an army; they would fire arced shots over their own troops towards the enemy. It was also usually seen as best to keep them protected, both because they were usually lightly armored and had little defense against cavalry or infantry, and because archers wer...
