Re: LCC - Meeting Galainir
Interesting turn of events, it seems this upstart queen is indeed pretty legitimate. Doesn't mean she's necessarily fit for ruling, though, but I believe we'll see soon enough. Arturius doesn't just jump into bed with new Queen's because they have shiny rings and a sense of glamour about them. (and ...

Hehe, I think I've seen this somewhere before. Hilarious little shot, and I also agree that Guinness is a top-class beer!

Re: Marching column layout
Depending on the surrounding countryside and the likeliness of an ambush from the flanks, I would (using the numbers in your example) be inclined to place a pike on each side of the road with an archer/swordsman in the middle of the line. This way, an attack from either side will be met by a double ...

Re: LCC signup- Lenfald and Loreos Closed to New Members
Currently closed factions: Lenfald , Loreos Ok so will lenfald be made open again soon? My preference would be to go for Lenfald. Sadly, that's not too likely. I'm not all up to date on the member counts, but last I checked, Loreos and Lenfald were still way ahead of Garheim and the Outlaws in acti...

Re: What do you think about a "chapter 0" or character intro
I'm a bit on the fence about this. To take The Wayfarer's Tale as an example, the story itself doesn't have an introduction, and people as well as the environment are introduced along the way. However, since more stories in the same fictional world are in the works, I plan on writing up a (probably ...

Re: Sir Kejtar and his companions
Thanks :). As I said it's a teaser as I just started :). Regarding journal style storytelling, it has always fascinated me. Ever read Amber series by Roger Zelazny ? No, but I'll note it down as reading to come. Another series with this form, though less prominent, is Bernard Cornwell's Warlord Chr...

Re: Where did all the stories go?
forgive my ignorance: what's CW? Like Otto said, it's a forum for medieval/fantasy Lego storytelling. It's not too active at the moment, but we're sort of trying to revive things over there these days, so you should really consider joining (commercial break, yay). On an off-topic though CW-relevant...

Re: Sir Kejtar and his companions
Looking good, Ludzik! The journal narration is an interesting form of story, and one I've seen utilised very effectively in the past. I also like the way that, unlike many other stories with a journal-style narrator, it's not being written after all the events have unfolded (in this case, after Kejt...

Re: Everard Lodge ~Revisited~
This is one of many MOCs we will be bringing to Brickfair Virginia this August. So be sure to come on by and see it live! :) Hey, thanks for the flight ticket, guys! :P Really cool build, and I like how it both stays true to the original concept and expands it greatly. Would love to see this in rea...

Re: The Slayer of Fry returns
Woah, a bit late in here. Anyway, I never really got around to know you last time, but I've always admired your customization work and comics, so I'm glad to see you back :) Welcome back, FS! Sounds like an exciting journey you've been on, you should recap it in LEGO-illustrations. :D Haha, that's t...
