Re: LOTR and the hobbit lego
I second everyone on the new parts and molds. Alot of new potential. The downside is that some of these newer detailed minifigs make the older ones look, well...really old. They just do not blend well (if you plan to merge them into existing factions or casts). Oh well. The LOR is so epic though tha...

I really like your style of castle building. I can't wait to see more. Super job on the tower. It looks almost life-like.

Your landscaping and terrain are fantastic! Everything else is not too shabby either.

Awesome. The tower tops are very different but nice. Great details.

I like the recessed doors and windows and done nicely without arches. Nice contrast. The windows are different as well. Good job!

Re: Colossal Castle Contest 9
Sorry to be a pain...but for for the castle category, could it be more of a linear or spur castle? Instead of having concentric walls and/or side towers could it have a series of towers and raised fortifications, based on the terrain, and all connected via ramps, stairs, walkways? Each successive to...

Re: Less minifigs, horses and saddles in sets (every season)
I noticed two or three of the Prince of Persia sets come with saddles. Even some of the camels in those sets have have saddles. Some of these sets are on sale now at many places.

I think you matched the style perfectly. It seems to fit right in.

Re: Best (Realistic) Archer Torso/Minifig Design (A Discussi
Sorry I missed this earlier. I am partial to this red torso. I mix in some red or brown legs and a hood or hat and it looks ok. Sort of motley and sort of uniformed. I like that some of my archers are not armored. My crossbowmen are armored for the most part.

Re: Roof Doodle
Thanks for the steps. I have been wanting to try and build a domed roof and this is about the size I wanted to try. The steps/process has eluded me so far. This technique may work for a dome as well as a conical sloped roof. Instead of using cheese wedges you could try 1x1s...or something else? I wi...

I like the snow and the icicle effect on the sloped roof. Interesting tower shape as well. Nice scene. Good job.

Re: Town Gatehouse WIP
Thanks for the comments/reviews. I was not sure about the red roof and had originally mixed red, dark red and some smaller 1x2 tan and dark brown. I think this probally looked better. I may go back to that mix but I used the all my dark red slopes on another project. :( I will have to get some more.

Re: Haradford Castle
This has very imposing scale and presence. The castle looks massive, just like you would think it would if you were a minifig and attacking the walls. Great detail and realistic seige weapons! An amazing build.
