Re: CC Set Review: 6062 Battering Ram

I got this for my birthday last year. This was the set I missed when I was collecting the large sets from 1988. But I got it online for like $55. The sides are pretty evenly matched and the wall is useful for connectivity. This set was the beginning of me collecting all the classic castle sets with ...

Re: What's your castle lego collection look like?

A big chunk of my collection is from the Fantasy era, but I collect others too. My oldest goes as far back as the late 80's , so don't have the blacksmith, armor shop, or all that other good stuff. I have most of the Fantasy era sets ( think I'm missing several, the village being one of them) and s...

Re: What's your castle lego collection look like?

I'm in the same boat as most. I have all the sets from 1984-1990 I'm just missing the non-forestmen carts and the two boats (6017 & 6049). I plan on getting them someday, right now they just don't fit into the scheme of things. I have the grey wall sets and Black Falcon Castles (6073 & 6074...

Re: What's your castle lego collection look like?

from Scott897's original list: It'll be easier to list what I DO NOT have: Prisoner Convoy Black Knight's Treasure Maiden's Cart (need instructions to really "have" it) Here's a little slideshow I made a year or two ago, these are the BOXES I have(up to that point, some Kingdoms and Castl...

What's your castle lego collection look like?

Well, I kinda want to know what classic sets the people of these forums own. So I am going to do a survey of a sorts. Here is the template to copy and paste: 1984 -King's Castle -Knight's Castle -Blacksmith -Siege Tower -Catapult -Horse Cart -Supply Wagon -jousting Knights 1985 -Prisoner Convoy -Bla...

Lucky you. :D The time has come for new pics. Of course, the prior link on page 1 will allow you to see the whole album but I will show off some things in particular. This is everything in terms of connectivity as one giant castle: http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/524223_598164786844_103301...

Re: Trends in Classic Castle from 1984 to 1990

Man, you better be careful, or you'll be broke soon. How can you get all those sets so fast?! Because the sets aren't really that expensive. Okay, maybe I spent $400 to $500 over a period of time. But it coincided with me getting a second job and my tax return. I just got the Jousting Knigh...

Re: Castle poll

I know nothing of the Crown Knights. So, by default, Crusaders get my vote. Crusaders have King's Castle and a mountain fortress. They have a battering ram that also seems to serve as a siege tower, the Twin Arm Launcher, two boats, a battle wagon (Horse Cart) with an archer, a siege tower, a ladder...

Re: Trends in Classic Castle from 1984 to 1990

I'm in the same boat I got into castle lego in 1990 and missed just about all the great 80s sets, and I've been hunting down all the sets I'm missing. I'm still debating on getting the two boats, and would like the carts but I have no space for them all. 6021 is a great set. I took me awhile to get...

Re: Trends in Classic Castle from 1984 to 1990

I plan to keep mine together for long as I can. I really don't want to mix my childhood pieces with the sets I just bought. My original sets were from when I lived in NYC as a child and I think it's interesting that my Black Monarchs and Black Falcons were once in Manhattan the moving truck may have...

Re: Trends in Classic Castle from 1984 to 1990

I cannot for the life of me get any discussion going here. I think I am too thorough that I cover everything. Anyhow, I now own all the 1987 sets. Besides Battering Ram and Camouflaged Outpost, the small sets are adding next to nothing but extra units to my set. The boats have very little practical ...

Re: Faction of the Knight from the Guarded Inn (6067)

I consider him to be a Black Falcon, considering the set comes with a Falcon Shield and a green flag. There is room for imagination here though, but the Lions already outnumber the Falcons, so why are we giving the Lions another unit?

Re: Trends in Classic Castle from 1984 to 1990

So, I have Guarded Inn now and have had it for several days now. It's awesome. When I find my cord to my camera I'll get more pics up. But to connect King's Castle, Guarded Inn, Siege Tower (wall), Blacksmith, and the Armor Shop together in a way that looks nice and is manageable, I connected it in ...

Well, let's get some pictures up then! The first two are what I will dub "Black Falcon's Castle": http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/s720x720/429601_592010664754_103301863_31701815_733341962_n.jpg http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-snc7/s720x720/419850_592010569944_103301863_3170180...
