Re: Castle 2016?
Plus, that would probably help to save us from yet another lion or dragon faction. :spin: I agree that Lions are overused. (And please, oh, please, never let us get another Crion faction...) But if you take a look at all the factions over the years, there really have only been four Dragons factions...

new dragon knights
Dismounted. The guy on the left has light bley arms. He also looks good with black arms, but I like some variation in my troops. Center has black arms -- light bley doesn't work so well on this torso, probably because of the large amount of silver. The guy on the right has dark grey arms and a black...

Forest Ambush and Gatehouse Raid
I picked up two Forest Ambush and one Gatehouse Raid sets from the Lego store last week. Although I'm not a fan of the Crown/Lion/Royal Knight pastiche, the blue guys fit in well with the Crownies. And with minor modifications, the dragons fit right in with the Kingdoms Dragons. I liked these sets. ...

Re: Series 7.... It's a Boar! (and other castle parts)
Since they did a Forestman and a couple of other homage figures in earlier sets, I just assumed the Evil Knight had a blank torso because it was an homage to the Evil Knight in the Royal Castle set. That guy had a blank torso and similar breastplate, black trimmed in gold. His helmet is pretty much ...

Re: Kingdoms Chess!!!
The picture on the box shows all the pawns with just one face (smile with stubble for the Lions, goofy gap-toothed smile for the Dragons.) Is that actually the case, or was that a photoshop issue?

Re: LCC-Lenfald Official Faction Thread. *NEW LOCAL CONTEST!
I'll be attempting to build my first boat, as well. "Prepare to jibe; helm's to weather; jibe-ho!" (Which, with all luck, will NOT be followed by "Man overboard! Watch that man. Throw the man a cushion and prepare to jibe. Station a man at bow and amidships to pick him up. Prepare to ...

This is gorgeous -- and very realistic-looking. Your archways and acute angles are phenomenal! I also like how you put jumper plates here and there among the tiled surfaces so your minifigs will have something subtle to stand on.
Great work!

Yep, I patterned him after the Irish Elk (Megaloceros giganteus), that stood 6.9' tall at the shoulders.
Actually, he just ended up huge in order to be proportional.

Re: LotR sets revealed!
I love the idea of polybagged Rohan soldier with horse and spear! I bought the Uruk'hai Attack set purely and simply to get the Rohan soldier and Eomer (and the horse!) No disappointments there -- they are gorgeous. At the moment, I've converted them to yellow; but if Lego puts out polybagged or bat...

Re: interesting beach party set with collectible figs
I definitely concur with the elf and gorilla suit guy -- but how about the robot, the zombie, the forestman, the Spartan, or the samurai? Surely at least somebody thought they were cooler than the fisherman?

Industrious Lands of Lenfald
Here's my entry for the Industrious Lands of Lenfald: The forests of Lenfald are rich and abundant, dotted with crystal-clear streams and little ponds. Wildlife is plentiful, including the majestic Lenfel Elk. But Bleddyn is not the only predator in this part of the forest… (cue theremin music) http...

Re: Opinions on the new swords
Although I love the look of the new long pointy sword, it doesn't fit on the saddle without dragging the ground. Pictures on the instructions for set 9471 (Uruk-hai Army) of Eomer on horseback show his sword stowed blade up on his saddle. Ouch. I ended up clipping the spear to his saddle so he could...
