Re: May: Does your army match?

When I first started looking at castle-themed armies, I was a little jealous of the ones with huge numbers of minifigs that all matched. That was the first type of army I built when I started collecting minifigures in enough number to do so. But my taste shifted over time. I started to find that a l...

Re: Collectable Figs Future Suggestions (Updated and Organiz

So, I got myself a Classic King recently, and I looked up his official description online, as I do. Since he is supposed to have fourteen knights who helped him build the Yellow Castle, maybe we should get one of them in a future set as a "Classic Knight", with the same color scheme as the...

Dear Lego: Minifigure-scale Heroica line

Hi all, I know this section of the boards has been pretty inactive recently; but since the discussion about possible 2016 Castle themes, I've been thinking about Heroica. I liked the board games, and I feel like the setting would make a pretty good minifigure-scale theme - the colorful heroes, the d...

Re: Castle 2016?

Indeed, I was always a little surprised they never did more with Heroica. Perhaps it was a timing issue - it was originally released while Kingdoms was around, and Lord of the Rings was just around the corner. I also wonder if they had an idea that they wanted to keep the Lego Games properties disti...

Re: Castle 2016?

I don't intend to be rude, or sauer, so I apologize if this comes across as such, but I feel I have to ask . . . how often do these sorts of rumors turn out to be correct? Are people who work at Lego stores, who Eurobricks members happen to talk to, really likely to know what sorts of themes are com...

Re: Middle Zealand

Australia and New Zealand are both sometimes over-sensitive about their international image. It has to do with being the smallest and most remote countries in the English-speaking world and the fact that their dialects are the lowest-prestige in said language group.

Re: Castle 2013... meh?

Not to put too fine a point on it . . . but how does any of us really know that Lord of the Rings is going to end? I mean, how long has Star Wars been going now? Fifteen years? Longer? Look at all the lists of iconic scenes and character that haven't been done yet that Lord of the Rings fans have ma...

Re: Your dream castle line

Lot of good ideas in this thread. I certainly don't hate the 2013 Castle line as much as some people (*cough* Eurobricks *cough*) seem to, but it would be nice to have different heraldry in later Castle sets. The recent crown lions and red dragons are different enough to be distinct from the Kingdom...

Re: Things I'd like in castle wave 2

I second (third? Maybe more?) those comments about the Rohan helmets. They go great with all sorts of castle characters.

I do like the current castle sets and factions; still, after Kingdoms Joust, I was somewhat expecting and hoping for more falcon knights. Perhaps some day.

Re: Dear Lego: LOTR trolls with changeable battle armor

As someone who likes to have armies of minifigs but tries to avoid having too many of them have the exact same clothes, armor, and weapons, I agree with this. It would give the trolls a lot more personality and flair, and that's never a bad thing.

Re: new castle factions

Agreed. Personally, I refer to the Falcon Knight from the Joust as "The Steel Raven" - I feel it fits his color scheme and the way his shield looks (very noticeably metallic, &c). I don't own any older Falcons, so that of course has something to do with it. Redundant though it might se...

Re: LotR & Hobbit Battle packs

There is a rumor going around that Lego made some sort of agreement with the Lord of the Rings people that they wouldn't sell a minifigure/s by itself (themselves), possibly because it would be too parallel to the licensed action figures. Has anybody else heard this? Anything from a more reliable so...

Am I the only one who finds the scarecrow and the gingerbread man kind of scary?

Really liking the tiki warrior and the barbarian, though. Might have to get some of each of them and make a barbarian horde!

I always liked the Dragon Masters, both in concept and appearance. I still have the knight from 1794 in my collection as a major player in the kingdoms, so I'll vote for him.

Re: do you remember when...

I once got a brick-built red airplane with propellers in a Happy Meal at McDonald's. It was in the 1980s and I was about five at the time; I really liked that plane. I probably still have the pieces somewhere in my collection.
