Re: thoughts on troll's mountain fortress

Sorry, to pump life into this years old thread, but this I thought deserved a mention of what the Troll Mountain's Fortress should have been (had you bought two and were named Hiffie)

Re: Weekly Set Review: Skeleton Tower

Finally built this set over the weekend. Yes, it cost way too much, but other than that a great set. As other have mentioned before, mixing this set as the front gate of Vladek's Fortress seems to be the way to go with this set. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=2989270 Not my pics.

Re: When Lego Lost its Head (Daily Mail Article)

Shouldn't the word in the first line read "reversal" instead of "rehearsal". That would make a lot more sense to me.

Re: The Eight Wizards

So I just noticed that evil wizard just uses Ogel's face with a white pupil? That's a little disappointing.

I'm sure the Knight's Kingdom II: Chess Board might be a viable solution. It's still available on Lego Shop at Home. And if you really are not specific about what faction, I'm sure some one out there will offer to swap your Shadow Knights for their Baby Blue Jakyo army, thereby doubling your army.

My 8 year old nephew and just turned 6 year old niece love Alibabidad. Not quite sure they'll go for this, but I'm sure just for the Pokemon card reference they'll kill themselves laughing.

I thought the Hasbro thing only referred to the Star Wars line. I'm not up on my action figure companies, but does Hasbro do Batman?

My guess would be a 1x1 headlight brick on it's side with pneumatic tubing connecting the hand to in the inside stud hole. But I could be wrong.

Not Joe Vig

Well, when I saw the thumbnail on Brickshelf, I thought it was Joe Vig but when I clicked on it, I was wrong.

Anyways, if the creator changes the head to Ron, then this could be when the first Joe Vig that is the size of a vig.

I always wondered where evil croissants came from.

Maybe they're not evil, just misunderstood.

A yellow sharpie fixes flesh minifig heads?

http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=158789

So has anyone run out and picked up a yellow sharpie? I may have to go try this on my (so far) one and only flesh coloured fig.

Skeleton Peg Leg

Recently I saw a picture of a skeleton minifig with a peg leg. You know kind of like if the Pirate Captain had died, what his skeleton would look like. If I recall correctly it was quite an interesting combination of pieces to achieve the effect. But for the life of me, I can't remember where I saw ...

Going in LIFO order, CAI: That rug comes from the Orient Expedition set: Elephant Caravan. Blueandwhite: Interesting perspective. However, using a raised baseplate I think necessitates building smaller which is perhaps why you don't like them. Hmm.. now I'm curious. How much weight can a raised base...
