Re: Medieval street
Fantastic job everywhere! I like the eclectic medieval building placement and different textures across the structures! You just earned another follower on Flickr.

Re: November Topic: Inspiration for Castle builds
I usually take my inspiration from architecture I photograph while on vacations. It's so easy to photograph architectural features but getting time to recreate them all in bricks is the problem. I also love reading classic books. They often have beautiful descriptions of ornate rooms, blissful or wa...

Re: September Topic: Tear down and rebuild or addition
I guess I've never had a long project like that with Legos where I've added on as I go. Once I complete a build I don't really modify anything- hardly even moving a minifigure position.

Re: Are Legos More for Adults Now?
Thank you both for the perspectives. I'm hoping Lego's leaning towards adults leads to an expansion of lug programs in the coming years as my 'local' one is close to 4 hours away.
Oh, and I'm hoping for nostalgic castle sets, or any castle sets for that matter.

Are Legos More for Adults Now?
Hi everyone! I’d like to open up a discussion about something I’ve been noticing the last couple of months. I officially became an AFOL a few years ago so I’m not sure if I’m only noticing it now, a sort of confirmation bias, or if it’s real. I’ve been thinking Lego has been targeting adults a lot m...

Re: August: Essential rooms in your castle
Same here about not usually including one- if I do get an interior in my castles it is very small and I have to limit it to essentials. The armory with stocks of weapons is always first. After that I like to include a sort of kitchen with food stores and maybe sleeping quarters. I appreciate ...

Re: June: A discussion of Weapons
Whoops I'm late. I prefer to give my soldiers spears when I can but don't care for the solid color ones. I think the Lord of the Rings spears are the best and actually look realistic. The LoTR swords are a close second, though, and much more common so I often end up using those. Of course, if someon...

Re: March: Buildings for your medieval village
Great idea to spark more activity! I've never thought much about what I'd put into a village scene as I always seem to lean toward building the fortress. :spin: I'd probably want to make sure I include a church, shoemaker, barrel maker, butcher, and all variety of shops. Those would mostly be depend...

Excellent job throughout. I especially like your peasant hunter with the old style of bird. I never thought they looked quite right but you proved me wrong!
