^ They're BrickTW, yep! (That's mentioned on the Flickr page.)

Queen's Guard
I suppose this can be considered Castle-y? The Queen's Guard figure was created using a customized headpiece, decals, and head (fleshie SW head Sharpied yellow). The gun is by BrickArms. http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4140/4909606484_67695f6f71.jpg ^ Regular version http://farm5.static.flickr.com/40...

Re: Fig: MOC or just a fig?
Woah, hold on there with the hostility for a second. My sincerest apologies if you think I'm attacking you-- that was neither the intent nor the goal and I'm honestly baffled by your reaction. I was simply trying to figure out why you feel the way you do since it seemed like such a strong stance, an...

Re: Fig: MOC or just a fig?
bluesecrets, You've put forth that all figures, without differentiating levels in quality at all , are "incomplete" simply because they are figures. Pardon my saying so but it's a little short-sighted to just say any figure by itself isn't worthwhile unless it's paired with a brick-built c...

Re: Fun With Dry Ice
Ooo, what fun. I'd probably just Photoshop the effect, but it's neat seeing a practical, physical version of it. T'would be really interesting in the HP graveyard set, among others.

Re: The Pale Masque minifig (Thunderhead Marauders)
The black is Krylon Fusion spraypaint; the silver and brown/bronze colors are Golden brand acrylic paints. The spear and shield are actually painted MegaBloks weapons-- I found a ton of something called "Plasma Dragon" packs on clearance for $1 and each one has a bunch of interesting weapo...

Re: The Pale Masque minifig (Thunderhead Marauders)
In short, Karrde's right. The shield piece was originally transparent neon orange. I painted it all black, then added the bronze paint, then the silver.

Re: Marked down prices on Lego sets at Target
Supposedly a lot of Targets have clearance items to make way for the summer waves, but so far none of the stores in my area has anything marked down at all.

The Pale Masque minifig (Thunderhead Marauders)
This was made for Eurobricks' MCW contest , as the basis for a hypothetical steampunk/skypirate theme with a heavy fantasy/Medieval influence. Re: Castle 2009 at TRU
^ I wouldn't get your hopes up, and call first. The Tysons ("DC") LEGO store almost always gets stuff several weeks (if not a month or more) after it shows up in the local TRU.

Oooo!
I'll hopefully have a chance to swing by TRU this weekend; I'll post if I find anything around these parts as well.
