Thanks for those interior links.
I guess I had seen it a few months back, and forgotten. But it all looks sharp.

Re:
Fan-friggin-tastic! There's nothing I don't like about this baby. Perfect spacing between dark gray bits so that it doesn't overpower the light gray. Classic tudor style. A rotating turret for that great telescope. It's a different kind of batch of medieval wizards entirely - Galilean. The tudor asp...

Re:
That really is a sweet looking castle. Aside from the fact that I love seeing Crusaders lording it over some Jerusalem-esque locale because Crusaders should be crusading, it's really aesthetically pleasing. Plain gray castles sometimes seem monotone. A lot of people have come up with great ideas to ...

That bridge is great. Like someone said, simple, but great. But even though it's simple, it's packed with detail, because of the really standout foliage and forest, realistic rocks, fully detailed wood rope bridge, down to the look of shock on the soldier who has fallen. And that lady with armor on ...

I'm a huge fan of Jon Furman's stuff. As a Napoleonic era worshipper, his Puerta Bonita and his 15th/16th Century town stuff gets my imagination going like wild, and it's great to see someone who thinks along the same lines I do (musketeers, swashbuckling ... there's so much gray area between Castle...

My little cousin (following in his brother's and myself and my brother's little Lego footsteps) got one of these at Legoland.
I'm jealous. It's pretty fun to play with.

I get pretty specific with this sort of thing, and pretty specifically I follow a kind of real world mockery. For starters, Crusaders , Royal Knights and Lion Knights from KK1 are all different units in the same "Lion Kingdom". The Crusaders are obviously crusaders, sent off to fight in fo...

I'm a big fan of Duplo blocks. The massive 2 x 2 squares and 2 x 4 rectangles fill a lot of space up, so if you're doing landscaping or can hide the fact that it doesn't seamlessly blend with standard Lego bricks, it's a great way to save bricks and fill spaces. A standard 2 x 2 square Lego brick wi...

I like the plowed fields ... they're deceptively simple, it's easy to tell what it's supposed to be, and it wouldn't be hard to mound up some brown and rocks in the middle and have a serpent bursting from the ground, attacking a farmer, if you want to talk about creative ideas you can do to play aro...

Somebody at Lego noticed Link from The Legend of Zelda was left-handed, and presto! Lego heroes are lefties. So here I ponder... Why has LEGO made their figs so sinister lately? Is it the new, hip thing?

Very nice! I agree with everybody, the bustling, busy nature helps rather than hinders this baby. Shark fishermen ... merchants, traders. It's a thing of beauty. I really like the color. Castles may need to be big, grey, and bland, but that doesn't mean some colored cloth didn't break that monotany ...

Amen to that, Formendacil. Similar shoes here ... But those War Eliphants are great ... I think that basket style is the best one I've seen yet! I like the shields too, and the Jabba's Pig Guy (for the life of me I can't remember what they're called) head makes for a neat enemy pig soldier guy ... V...

You know, I REALLY wanted Dark Forest Fortress. Badly. But it was thirty dollars, and I only had twenty, so I settled on Hemlock Stronghold, which is a great set, but doesn't have as many men, weapons, tree (brown) parts, gimmicks, or what not. And I love the baseplate too ... those hilly forest roa...

Toy Fair Star Wars
Wow. I just got done looking at the ToyFair pics of the new Death Star model. I'm not really that into the models ... they're cool, but I'm a Legoland sort of guy. But I think I'll be getting this beast. Why? There are so many gray bricks, plates and other pieces ... it's not the largest amount ever...

Wow, I can write a nice fat post highlighting what I love about Lego Vikings. Awesome. I'll do a top ten list ... because I'm in a top ten sort of mood. 10. Viking Helmets. The end of seeing horrible (well, mostly horrible, some great) custom made helmets with Islander horn pieces is over! No more b...
