Re: Mike Crowley, Count Blockula

I didn't knew Mike personally, but I do remember him as a great builder. The large Star Wars figures he made were very impressive all those years ago and still are.

My condolences to his family, 36 is indeed way too young.

CCCX-"But the power of the Ring could not be undone..."

Greetings everyone and a Happy Newyear! (Atleast it has been in this part of the world.) My God, it's been ages since I've posted a MOC on these boards! CC has always been an important board to me, especially in my earlier days, so of course I had to make something for the tenth anniversary of the C...

Re: CC Set Review: 7009 The Final Joust

Long time since I posted here, but I had to for this set. The whole Fantasy Era line was a big sign of relief after the whole Knights Kingdom II debacle, and the rainbow knights were replaced by knights mostly in the new metallic silver. The classic visor returned, and this was the cheapest set to g...

Miniland figures

Greetings everyone, I realized that my Magnofigures ( http://www.flickr.com/photos/14780153@N08/sets/72157627054542244/ ), while having a lot of articulation, are a dying breed thanks to the lack of availability, variety and colours in the technic figure elements. Since these figures are the same sc...

Re: Ancient Antiquity

What a fascinating figure. You might consider discussing with one of the site administrators whether a lesson on constructing this type of figure ought to be placed in the "how-to" section of the regular site. There are many remarkable details here, but for the moment, I'll just comment t...

Re: Ancient Antiquity

Oh man, the scutum and pilum are amazing! Brilliantly done. The helmet works pretty well, too- a lot better than I would have thought. But between the helmet, rapier and all the pieces in the shield... this must be a pretty expensive figure, no? Can't have much of a legion. ;> Great work though. Th...

Re: Ancient Antiquity

That is a very creative way to make a shield and I like how you used the musketeers sword.the only thing I don't like is the legs I think the official ones would have looked better. The backward armor defiantly makes it look more romanish. :) Thanks, I'm actually glad LEGO made the musketeer foil s...

Ancient Antiquity

Salve! :) I'll be working on several figures and scenes from the Ancient Antiquity, most notably Romans but other cultures aswell. (Greek scenes will finally become a reality thanks to the Spartan Collectible Minifigure.) The focus of these MOCs will be historical accuracy, and highlighting periods ...

Re: Collectable Minifigures Series Two

Are you going to compare or track which figures are in which row or the position in each row? I feel it would be VERY interesting to find out if the cases are packed with the same minifigs in the same pattern from case to case...... I have went through several boxes and in some, several figures of ...

Re: Collectable Minifigures Series Two

From what I'm reading the boxes seem to be available in large quantities than series 1 or rather, the stores have ordered more. Just for curiosity, what country do you live in 'insurrection'? Apart from one store chain which has been pillaged faster than lightning itself, no other stores have these...

Re: Collectible Minifigs trading thread

Is there anybody that does NOT want their zombies, or has too many of them? I have three, but like the rest it seems I want another dozen or more. Seriously, if you are looking to unload some of the Zombie Minifigure then PM me. Chances are I have something you really do want in my collection. :mrg...

Looking for Spartans

Hello everyone, I'm looking for the Spartans from the second series of the collectable minifigures. (Since these start to show up I wanted to post this thread) I posted what I can offer to trade in this thread (I'll post the thread since there's a size on the picture limit here on CC): http://www.eu...

Re: Collectable Minifigures (Sold Out?)

I hope all these collectible figures get re-released in one giant collectors set that contains all of them. Or maybe I'm just wishful thinking. :? That propably won't happen since collecting these limited series is the main purpose of them. Re-releasing them after a long time would destroy any 'rar...
