This is a great set, one of the best carts. More wolfpack sets like a village hideout or the link below would be great.

I fell in love with this set when I first saw it in the catalog in 1990 and wasn't able to get one until 2000. I wish lego had more modular wall sections with black walls like the numerous ones they had with gray walls. The only thing wrong with it is the trebuchet design. It doesn't really work and...

Now that is an inn. That has to be the best inn I have seen.

round shields
black falcons
several useful pieces in a set of its size
green and white flags
unique way to use technic pulleys as wheels

It is awfully hard to hate this set. The use of the scooper provides a nice big bucket to place larger objects to launch.

I have been having trouble taking pictures with a digital camera and getting them to be clear. I have tried a lot of things, but to no avail.

CCC3 Crusaders watch tower

Here is a crusader's watch tower to warn of advancing enemy troops in the classic castle category.

Folder when public.

This was my first castle set, I was mostly space before this. This set made me wish I had collected more castle sets earlier. This is one of those few sets I wouldn't try to make bigger or modify unlike the castles. It was perfect.

This set only makes you wish for more civilian sets. The black plumes are found in some other sets though not many like Castle Guard (6035) and camouflaged outpost (6066)

This set is a case where simpicity equals excellence. This set comes with many accessories for a set of its size. Is the red thing suppose to be a treasure chest before lego started to create those?

my dark ages were a convienence of age and decline of lego quality. In 1993, there were only a few pirate sets I liked. I didn't care for the new town sets (I never understood why lego changed the "police" bricks from the old classic style to the underlined style. I didn't care for the dra...

I really like this set. It is a shame the forestwoman didn't come in more sets. I wish lego would have come out with more forestman sets back in the day.

Thanks, I really try to stick with a classic 80s feel. Many things I create though are sets like those that were released but bulked up.

I really like this set though the interior is a bit small. Many lego sets are a bit small on the interior but we can always make a bigger version of the set. I like the idea of this being an old run down fortification hidden away deep in the woods on a lake.

CCC3 four entries

Here are four of my entries for the CCC contest. I hope to add more entries in the near future. One is a siege scene involving black falcons and black knights. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=153888 One is a town market. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=153859 One is a...

I never really liked the DM theme and thought this was the start of the decline in lego castle, though the set looks OK but not great. The Majisto torso is handy as an alternative to the grey peasant torso so you don't have peasants all the same color.
