Firstly there is always going to be people with more than you. It's a fact of life. I know people with collections that make me weep or cry in awe. These people have either more money to spend on Lego or have been collecting longer. You'll get there eventually if you want to. I find a limited brick ...

I'll have to hold my hands up to that one. It's the (majority) of my unsorted castle figures, probably around two thirds of my castle figs overall. I'm in the process of setting up my big castle for the next stage photography, and looking at the pile of figs I had strewn on the floor to dress the ca...

Wow O wow. Thats a great job. Big, solid, looks like it could stand a prolonged siege. People have pointed out its many merits so I'll just add which points I particularly like. I'm impressed by the colouring. I could never get the speckled brick patterns too look good, its why I always just use mon...

Ok, I was quite impressed with the new KK2 stuff. It was a step in the right direction. As some people pointed out though, it was better, but could have been better still. These sets have got me a lot more excited (though). Probably a lot more excited than a grown man should be over a toy :) Leaving...

I just spotted this on eurobricks and scooted over here to see if anyone had picked up on it. It certainly is difficult to tell with the blurriness of the picture but if its true .. fantastic. It would more than make up for any misgivings about KK2. Eurobricks tends to be pretty reliable too so who ...

2005 Minifig sets

http://www.brickish.org/members/files/H ... kk2005.jpg

there we go, Looks like the small triangle shields are back. There aren't any horses with wheels. The new fortress looks better than recent castles (once you take the big swords off it :) )

feelings ?? thoughts ??

The big figs do have photos of the new minifig sets in them including a 'big dark castle' according to a friend who has them. (Mr Millington of brickset) He will scan them and have them online tonight

I'm wondering whether to buy one soley on the fact that last year they had a preview of the minifig sets in the instructions.
Is it worth the gamble to potentially find out what minifig sets are in store?

I was fortunate enough for Fry Slayer to send me examples of his work. Let me say the photos don't do them justice. Crisp clean lines, perfect colour match and a really professional finish. They sit amongst the classic sets and fit in perfectly :)
Great job.

Are you building out of normal Duplo bricks or building using the new Castle Duplo. The new stuff is amazing. I never would have thought I'd be buying myself Duplo at my age but they really are very good :D Much better than KK2 anyway. I'd be very interested to see what MOCs people come up with usin...

It's got a really nice feel to it. Good use of selective compression but with lots of nice detail. The only critisism I could make of it is that I never feel that door piece looks right on a castle moc. It's a bit too contempory.
Other than that I love it :)

Nice to see that bley can look good (providing there isn't any grey around to make it look odd)

Thanks for the positive feedback guys. I know the 1/2 timbered house is something thats been done a lot before and I certainly have quite a little town growing on the shelf. I find it fun to build as a variation on a theme. It's suprising what can be done differently on a standard premise. The whole...
