My only gripe with the fright knights is the over use of Batlord and Willa and that the Batlord shell impulse sets were not as well thought out as the standard line. I consider that Lego castle torso design reached a high point between Dark Forrest/Fright Knights and KK1 that has stilled not been eq...

If so he was my favorite fright knight, the torso looks good also modified with blue arms.

For some reason, this set was not very common in stores at the time in Sydney; I think I only managed a single set. The set was most desirable to me as it contained a variety of shields. The set has army builder appeal at a cheap price; I was only able to purchase multiple 6027 Bat Lord's Catapult a...

Thanks I think that the Swimming Cube is well done. I like the cut away walls to reveal internals: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=3343443 Thanks Bruce for further details: The National Aquatics Center was built by Vincent Cheung over the course of 120 hours, and has a three-tier des...

I would think it’s safe to speculate that the Vikings have gone the way of the ninjas, samurais, fright knights, etc & etc. Remember to enjoy the undead, dwarfs and orcs as they will go the same way. On another positive thought heres some links to an Australian Lego Viking Ship from 1983 at a lo...

Re: Weekly Set Review: Black Falcon's Fortress

15 IX 03 In 2003, the set was produced again as a “Legend” and is available from Shop at Home for $39.99. http://www.classic-castle.com/sets/images/OOP/1986/6074.jpg Id like to see this re-released again with the current 2008 world exchange rates. US$39.99 by the time I paid for postage etc to SAH ...

This seems a simple set its hard to provide a good review as little additional information exists about this set, like a copy of the packaging/instructions. The helmets and standard mini figure grin seems a little dated now. I think the castle battle pack with more variation is a more appealing set....

Torment Everybody is probably different, I am currently (Since2006) seldom opening large castle sets anymore I’m a MISB collector predominantly now. The blocks/plates from smaller impulse sets and lower range price range sets are being blended in with my other post KK2 bley loose castle Lego. I have...

I consider that the Knights Kingdom 1 theme as one of Legos best, one of the main strengths of this set/theme is the mini figures; 1. King Leo’s Court - King Leo, Queen Leonora, Princess Storm, Richard the Strong and John of Mayne. 2. The Attacking Bulls - The leader Sir Cedric and his expert siege ...

In terms of price per fig ratio, I'd estimate that KKI in general was poor for amassing an army. Maybe so, but I liked the figures considerably. Even though I shouldn't have spent money on them I did out of how much I liked them. Luckily there was the defense archer set and the axe cart which weren...

Nice an Evil faction money box - I don’t know if you could trust your money with those evil guys, together with the previously discussed crown knight photo frame and the large chess set the 2008 accessories are more appealing then the actual sets in my mind. I would really like to see a halve timber...
