Re: Pics of New Hobbit Sets

The more I see them the more I am concerned about a couple things: 1. The Warg escape in the trees should include a giant eagle? 2. Will Beorn appear in a later set? 3. Why are Legolas and Tauriel helping the Dwarves escape the spiders? Where is Bilbo, that was his big moment? 4. No bother with burg...

Re: Pics of New Hobbit Sets

I counted 13 different Dwarves in all those images, so we are Go For Launch :)

BTW Ryclen those green goblets in the Barrel Escape set are old-old and often were found in the Belville large scale figure Fairy Tale sets. Once or twice in the Harry Potter series too.

Re: TRU Bricktober Minifig Series

Each Toys R Us store received exactly one promotion kit from LEGO with each box labeled specifically not to be opened or distributed until the clearly printed dates upon each of the four seperate insert cases. Each case has only 10 pieces of each volume. You may just have been instrumental in a memb...

Re: Forestmen Brown Replacement

I like the brown better for the look of a forrest. It would be nice to see how many older sets would look with updated colors and part availability. Nice work!

Re: CC Set Review: 1712 Crossbow Cart

I always enjoyed the Castle (and all other) themed polybag sets like this. I had bricks and sets, but what I did not have were many special elements, accessories or generic soldier figures. Often these were so attractively priced that the cons were far out-done by how much you got in the baggie. Was...

Re: CC Set Review: 6095 Royal Joust

It wasn't really a "set", as there was little more than a loosely connected assortment of parts in the box. I think to me it seemed more like a parts accessory set for Castle theme builders. Parts is parts was a common thing said of this set and others like it, best purchased on sale or cl...

Those are awesome!
If there were an official clergy person it would end up being so dangerous, like bringing up religion and politics on Facebook.

Re: CC Set Review: 8822 Gargoyle Bridge

I remember buying this set, bringing it home and building it. I was almost finished and it collapsed sideways in a heap of large pieces. It was boring to build and the "adventure" was just not worth the re-build so I scrapped it for parts and just used the minifigures on a Halloween displa...

Re: CC Set Review: 4819 Rebel Chariot

In the US of A these made a retail appearance at the (now out-of-business) KB Toys stores. If memory serves they were reasonably priced at the time at either 2/$10 or close to that rate. I did by quite a few for the figures and the chrome armor/weapon sets and upon parting them out I learned that a ...

I just "discovered" that the Cheerleader minifigure has a large "A" printed on her sweater. I will need a few of those now... to be my "A" Team.

Re: CC Set Review: 7009 The Final Joust

This was the first sub-Theme series that I vowed to both get the entire series for building and a sealed box display. Simply one of the best in terms of design, parts, colors, play elements and package design. So very much loved this set in particular for the robust mounted knight and the armored sk...

I have a pretty good standing army of Lion themed knights/soldiers and I found that this one works for me: http://www.bricklink.com/PL/973px118c01.jpg?0 But only when paired with the matched legs: http://www.bricklink.com/PL/970c09pb01.jpg?0 If you don't have the two together the torso is just too p...

Re: Collectible Figs series 8 revealed

Anybody army building any of the figures from this series? Probably only the Football Player and Conquistador. The rest will be 1-3 of each as time goes on and/or the figures include enough parts I can cross into other uses. I am kind of grateful that this series is not as packed with army-types as...
