Re: BOOM! "The Hobbit" Minifigs Revealed!!
I feel a bit like Beorn waiting to see what and how many we are in for. A party it seems.

The eyes are standard, but they have that illusion of Clone Wars looks about them. I am so very grateful they are giving us a green hood! I hope it is in a $20-25 set!!

Re: Collectible Figs series 8 revealed
I enjoy seeing all of them, and they will all become welcome additions for me. I like the variety and new outfits, even if some parts/accessories are reused. I think I like the new Conquistador, Banker/Businessman, Ski Girl, Renaissance Actor and Bavarian Boy the most. Looks like more fun choices.

Re: Bag End
I like it. No I love it. As stated above, it has the charm of a fan created model, but is kept tastefully small (relative to how I'd over-do it) and provides enough recognizable design to get a bookshelf home. I love the "living a simple life" look and accessories, and the torsos will be a...

Re: Reissue the collectible minifig sets in packs or single
The only way I have been able to ensure I have gotten exactly the ones I wanted was to first order or purchase a whole case. Once I had the time to privately figure out which were what on my own time, then returning to a store once they were in stock made the bag-feel simple enough to find a couple ...

Re: Haunted House.. click click
I made a similar looking house myself for a halloween display at home, but this really has a lot of nice features and design elements. I was thinking it would look great on "the other side" of the Cafe Corner series of sets, like on a hill just past all the Creator homes. It would even mak...

I just hope we can get some non-combat themed sets in the fantasy/historical era again.

Re: News: Death of the Classic Horse
The minifigures and the animals are going through what seems like a mass-media inspired evolution. In order to represent the life forms, they are rounding the edges more to match their appearances in LEGO video games and movies. I can deal with the changes myself as I have been there before. All my ...

Re: 2008 Castle Chess set....insane.
So four years down the road and what have I learned? This set was worth the money I spent to get it back in the day. Look at what it goes for on Amazon.Com today: http://www.amazon.com/Lego-Castle-852293-GIANT-Chess/dp/B001I37RSQ/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1337746654&sr=8-3 Starting at $1,599.99...

Re: Dear Lego: Please bring back the Cypress Tree!
Perhaps an improvement on the tree? The old cypress tree is a single purpose and large element. What if it were more of a group of elements that you could arrange at varied heights, sort of like the technic axle and washer combination that is used for LEGO City Car Wash rollers? You could have a bot...

Re: LEGO Barcode Rip Off
There must have been some addiction factor at work here. Why would a multi-millionaire both (a) rip off the store to buy them at a lower cost, and (b) sell them on Ebay? Some weird psychology going on there. I'm sure there is an answer.

Re: Opinions on the new swords
They are nice, but they do not have the multiple angle versatility of the classic sword. A minifigure could not only hold the classic sword by the handle, but also the cross-guard. Another unique feature of the classic sword is the round "pommel" that could clutch in the minifigure hand an...

Re: LotR sets revealed!
You all need to lay off the mead when reading the Internets. Are you all aware that The LEGO Batcave set is marked $20 USD higher at Toys R Us than all other retail chains stocking it right now? And considering that my checkcard and gift cards all are either Visa or Mastercard, how is it possible th...

Re: LotR sets revealed!
I'm going to just guess that if it is a Target Exclusive as I have heard, and the part/figure count reflects anything from other licensed sets, it should be around $29-35. If Toys R Us features it, it would likely be $49-55
Let us pray that the Target rumor is true.
