Re: The Grand Joust of Gisellicburg

Awesome job to the both of you. I like the tents a lot. It's cool to see some familiar factions present among the joust participants.

Re: A superhero MOC

Nice job Andhe ;) I like the comic style picture. Thanks for the plug of my work. I encourage anyone wanting to invent their own characters to join the group.

Re: Best official sets to play with

Easily at the top of my list is The Camouflaged Outpost. You could access the interior via hinge bricks or the sloped plates that made up part of the landscape. The interior allowed for you to make a sleeping spot inside the half tree trunk or just a nice hide out spot for what ever danger was aroun...

Re: Hey ol' friends, hey new faces!

:) For those that don't know D00mie, this guy is great and means a lot to quite a few of us here. Some conversations with him through PM's became the reason I transitioned from being a lurker to an active poster. A lot of his work can be seen in the avatars of a few members here and I made this coll...

Micro village/castle sets

The Star Wars line has these sets that are a planet with a minifig and a micro ship. I'm sure most of you have seen them. I'd like to see Castle get this treatment. I don't know what they could substitute the "planet" piece that would make sense, but I think it'd be a great way to introduc...

Re: Additional parts for a modular character/build

Thus the "flaws" in the idea. I'd rather have a stand alone set myself than be coerced into buying an entire wave for a bonus build. However, with Bricklink, fans like me wouldn't be bound to get every set. My budget would never allow it anyways. I am just looking at an alternative way to ...

Additional parts for a modular character/build

I had this idea recently while thinking of how people want a decent sized Smaug for the Hobbit sets. Smaug has to look impressive and even though the current dragon in the castle line would suffice, wouldn't it be better to have a detailed, articulate representation of Smaug? So they could just make...

Re: How long do you keep your MOCS

I usually keep MOC's built for as long as I possibly can. If I really like something I have, I'd rather keep it built and then try to modify it over the years rather than start from scratch. I have about 24 sprint cars I built from about 15 years ago still together and I don't foresee me taking them...

Re: Imperial Barracks

I'm really impressed by how you manage to make the interior compact yet cozy looking (like you seem to do with many of your other builds). That is a skill I wish I had years ago. The only thing that could make this better is if you had the interior accessible from a side in addition to the top.

Re: LotR & Hobbit Battle packs

Lone Rangers is another license where they did a $13, 4 fig bp in the first, and only year. It's just not the direction Lego felt like going with LOTR, I guess. That's a good point and a good find. Toy Story also had what could be called a battle pack with such a short run. I guess they figured set...

Re: LotR & Hobbit Battle packs

I did some thinking and research today. The Star Wars battle packs that seem to be the model for what we expect for LOTR minifig battle packs came out after there had been about 9 years worth of sets and product. I can't see LOTR making a 9+ year run unfortunately. On the other side, minifigs and th...

Re: Chima Legend Beasts

I saw the UK price listed at 7.99 which I think is about $9.99 US. That's not really that bad considering you get a minifig as well. One other thing I noticed is that the teeth on the Crocodile look to be Glow in the Dark rather than white. I looked at the review and found nothing to confirm not den...

Chima Legend Beasts

I saw over at Brickset a review of the 5 Chima Legend Beasts. They are basically animals for the animalistic minifigs to ride on. I'm not usually a fan of brick built beasts, but some parts on these look really cool especially the printed tiles and the articulation. The thing that attracted me the m...
