Hey, you know this building thing? Yeah, you should do that more often.
Really nice stuff, definitely good mottling and excellent fig action!

Re: CCC IX: Maison de la Motte (wooden castle)
This is excellent, great stuff! Motte and baileys are so underbuilt in LEGO, glad this contest got a decent number built. This is a really great example. I love the hill especially. The trees are also excellent.

Re: THE HOBBIT TRAILER
I expect good things from the movie but the trailer was honestly not that interesting to me. I don't like a lot of trailers, though, so there you go.

The decrepit shack is pretty great. Nicely done.

Re: CCCIX Bandit Raid - Vikingr Attack!
Thanks guys! Excellent build. Where did you get that black and white shield? Viking Catapult versus the Nidhogg Dragon. :) I had to look that up... that explains why I only have the one. (the funny thing is I could have sworn that was the one first-wave viking set I didn't get, though now that I thi...

This is silly and whimsical and I love it. Backstory, landscaping, and the teeny house are all great. :3

Re: The Decline of Lego Castle?
And honestly, when I see that joust set, I see a bunch of nice parts in that gate. Not only that, but I see a pretty great design. I had the oppourtunity to see it up close and in the flesh at Brickcon, and I really like the architectural style of the gate. It's much more embellished and pretty tha...

Re: The Decline of Lego Castle?
When I buy a set at the moment it's because I like the minifigures or the new parts are interesting. That shouldn't be the case. ...That's debatable. What I mean is they shouldn't be the only selling point. You're happy to keep buying the same boring rehashed sets providing they throw in a couple o...
