Re: Analysis of Medieval Building Styles
This is a good analysis. I think there are many sub-categories, often defined by personal style inspiring others. But you've nailed the 2 main categories. I think I'd probably fall into the rough category.

Re: Elves
I don't usually keep my sets together, anyway, so these will be great for parts to use in high fantasy scenes, as CCG said.

Re: Desert Keep
Neat! The SNOT tan files on the walls look good. Maybe touching up the landscape a bit would improve it, though.

Re: Castle 2016?
I remember hearing several months ago from a LEGO store employee that LEGO had gained the Scooby rights. Few months later, sets are announced. That's something, although I agree that we can't rely on everything they say.

Re: Dear LEGO: Less faction-specific minifig parts
Unfortunately, I feel like the other way around is more often the problem. I've noticed licensed figs having giant neck patches of flesh that makes it awkward to use, even when the character in the actual movie has a small neck hole than that. It seems like LEGO is trying to troll yellow fans with t...

Nice work, I wouldn't normally consider regular orange a landscape color, but it's well used here.

Re: Tancarville Barracks
The roof and ground look nice, a very clean build overall. The patches of DBG do look a bit jagged and blocky, but I suppose that can't really be helped with that stonework technique(which I like). Maybe a smaller quantity of patches, but have them be bigger?
