classic castle dead?
As a classic castles fan, I am less than thrilled with the Nexo Knights space knights theme. The poster is not encouraging, and the emphasis on cartoonish kids action won't do me any favors, but like many others, I am a Lego fan first and foremost and will find some sets or parts to buy that fit my ...

Re: Castle Tuchrov
Very nice work all around. The colors and detailed architecture and landscaping are inspiring. I love the stonework rising above the roof lines. Is that an itinerant wizard sitting under the bridge?

Re: Castle 2016?
How about a Heroica themed castle line? Gives the kiddies characters to identify with and offers AFOLs civilian set options along with military and action set options (at least if they made use of all the map locations) and they could expand the map and sets after the initial line of sets. This also...

Re: Elves Treetop Hideaway "Remix"
Clever color remix. Makes me wonder what other themes CCers might remix like this to good effect.

Re: Castle 2016?
I'll be happy for anything besides yet another version of Lion and Dragon factions. I enjoyed the earlier fantasy line so if they go that route it would be nice to have some variety in the elves to fill out that faction.

Re: Cave troll by Hopeso 009
Agreed this is an awesome brick built troll. I especially like the size of it compared to the minifigs. It can be quite a challenge to do a good brick build without it getting oversized. But then again I suppose some prefer oversized trolls!

Re: CC Set Review: 9473 - Mines of Moria
I am an oddball I guess insofar as I actually like this set for a few reasons, such as (1) the minifigures, (2) its playability, and (3) as a brick source for my own dwarfish creations. But I definitely think it needed to be bought on sale: not a set I was willingly to pay full price or an inflated ...

Re: Your dream castle line
To be honest, I would be happy to get a new Castle line that is ANYTHING AT ALL BUT another Lion-Dragon (or other standard bad guy) theme with the same old five kinds of sets. I love the idea of mixing in some civilian sets and Bruce's idea to revive the modular castle scheme. And how about a variet...

Re: yes my name is curt an I am a Legoaholic....
No shame in buying any Lego set at all IMO and I'm an old man with grown kids. Kids got me hooked on this building thing some years ago and I can't stop! That said, it seems like there are more pieces I would not use than I would use in many Friends sets, so for now at least I bricklink the parts I ...

Re: Dr. Who set a near inevitability (Cuusoo)
I am not a big Dr. Who fan myself, and doubt I would buy such a set, but I know lots of people who are fans and might make an impulse buy for themselves when out looking with the kids.

Re: Dungeons & Dragons custom minifigs including Drizzt
I am a fan of Salvatore's books with Drizzt and this is a nice rendition of the character. The head and hair have always been the toughest aspects to match. This white hair works pretty well, but if I recall correctly the dark elves in those books are actually black-skinned. I understand the dark gr...

Nicely done. I'm going up...wait a sec, where are you going...huh, it's easier to get lost on these Escher stairs in Castle Relativity than the moving stairs in Hogwarts!

Re: LCC- Queen's Warbeasts
Noting new to add to the discussion really, just another comment saying "these are awesome" and "what a cool innovative idea." I don't imagine you don't mind getting another compliment.
