Re: Flickr LEGO Build & Capture contest winners
Totally agree about Nathan's entry. Spectacular build, beautifully composed, and then expertly photographed. And I didn't know he existed until the contest. The really cool thing about a lot of Lego contests is finding other builders that aren't in your current circle!

Re: CCC 19 - The Question Thread - and FAQ
Who's doing the judging? I just noticed Jtooker entered his 'crew'. If he's judging, couldn't he just say his was the best? Sorry if I'm being offensive. This is what the Judging section says in the Rules and Information post: " Judging: Will be closed within a 2 week window from the end of th...

Congrats to all the winners! There were some great categories this year, though I couldn't get builds done in time to post for all the categories I wanted to.

Re: Water techniques
My favorite is the trans-blue, trans-light blue, & clear 1x1 round plate stacks on top of blue plates. I think it works well for many sizes of MOC, allows a sufficient ability to play with color transitions (especially if a stack of 2-3 1x1's is used), and frankly doesn't require anywhere near a...

Re: Troll Bridge Heist
The bridge is the highlight here--and it should be, but you've also created a nice sense of movement with the fig/cart/trolls/horse posing. Sweet MOC.

Re: The Undoing of Shriza the Spider
This is great jtooker! The spider is the star obviously but you managed some really nice foliage here too--not too overgrown, but still definitely a "wild" forest. Nice!

Really strong series of builds here jtooker! The workshop view is my favorite, I love how you were able to fill that space with so much detail.

Re: Gingerbread Man
Details here are pretty impressive especially the kitchen towel/glove on Grandma's left hand and the 1x1 round plate w/ holes used as those spring-looking handles on old-timey kitchen and fire equipment. Awesome work!
