It seemed that Marz Distribution was the best place to find leaks, and I noticed they weren't selling LEGO for a while. However, is this bad for LEGO? Did LEGO move to a better distributor, or did Marz drop LEGO because LEGO wasn't selling well enough? I hope it's that LEGO ditched them. I notice th...

If you are talking about the thing near the staircase, it's actually a trumpet. I think it's the shiny gold plated color (like the crowns and pirate coins) and not chrome though.

That is something I suggested in the previous Harry Potter thread... it gave them time to go back to the drawing board after the progressively worse castle releases they had been giving us. Also, didn't Brad say something at a recent convention about making fewer sets but with higher quality? I thin...

I see many possibilities here... One thing Lego could do would be to release a "Discovery Channel" licensed line of Castle sets like the space shuttle sets they released this year. Since the Discovery space shuttle sets can co-exist with Star Wars, one would have to assume that Discovery c...

This is a great Lego set. Conceptually, it's a large dark tree that has a secret entrance to a small hideout, and there are places to fire arrows from. The tree, when closed, looks good from all sides. It comes with a nice assortment of accessories such as vines, weapons, barrel, target, etc. Howeve...

Castle Parts...

Harry Potter obviously contains a good deal of usable parts for Castle creations. However, that doesn't mean the Harry Potter line is good for Castle. If Harry Potter was not around, we would probably have a real castle line right now, and a real castle line would obviously be better for parts than ...

Dark Forest was not terrible. If I was collecting LEGO at the time, I would have bought them, but the set designs just don't seem to make as much sense as the original Forestmen theme. Either way, they still contained a lot of useful figures and parts. I really like the Wolf Pack stuff, but sadly, i...

Great set, great parts, good number of minifigs, good value for it's price. My only complaint is that they raised the price from $35 to $40 and then took out the extra arches used in the alternate model. I suppose the price increase was to be expected, but it would have been great if they at least l...

6067 Guarded Inn It was never available in the United States aside from Shop @ Home, and I wanted it as soon as I saw it in my 1989 Shop @ Home catalog, which was the first S@H catalog I ever had. I saved up money to buy the Guarded Inn several times, but each time I was about to order it, I ended u...

Definitely not worth $50. I got mine for $25, built it, then took it apart for parts immediately. I like the wheels used in this set. I dislike the faces on most of the Bulls figures. I dislike the catapult arm. I dislike the firing cannon. How can they attack when some of the siege weapons are stat...

Buy in multiples depending on your budget. Anyway, here are things I'd suggest getting: The Legend Castle Collection... over 1000 parts for $90, and it's $15 cheaper than buying the three sets separately and you get a good assortment of minifigs, parts, and equipment. 32x32 Green Baseplates for maki...

Black Falcon...

...but I really love the original Forestmen (not the retarded dark forest ones).

I also think Wolf Pack was good, but all they got was 3 small/medium sets, so they didn't leave much of an impression on anybody.

Personally, I would prefer that the yellow castle not be re-released for the following reasons: It came in last place on the poll, so it might be unprofitable for TLG. I personally don't think I would buy it. Part of it's appeal is some of the rare parts it contained that would be replaced in the re...

I always had the impression that both the siege tower and the wall section were owned by the crusaders. The highlight of the set really was the siege tower, the wall section was almost like an afterthought just to put more stuff into the set and to give people more modular wall sections so they coul...
