MKJoshA wrote:I'm looking to participate in the CCC for the first time this year. For the Forest Lair category, I know you said it has to include an out-law faction. But can this out-law faction be made up of non-humans?
Yes. I could see an outlaw faction of dwarves, trolls, or elves for example.

Re: Colossal Castle Contest 16

Ok, two quick questions, is the forest lair category strictly for outlaw faction style builds or is that just to describe what we should build for that category? And the second is if we can build something for a normal category with the baseplate requirements outside of strictly 48x48 or 32x64; as ...

It would be five pictures total. Fifteen pictures would take a long time to grade :wink

Thanks.

Re: Colossal Castle Contest 16

The best time of year has officially begun :D Incredible categories this year! Thank you. For the From Field to Goblet category, are you supposed to make multiple builds each showing different stages in the process, or just a single creation showing multiple stages? If multiple builds, how many? 1....

Re: Yellow Castle expansion.

I like the large keep and concentric walls that tie into the yellow castle. The basic green for grass and blue for the river remind me of the models built by LEGO model makers in the 1980's. It is also nice that you incorporated the knights tournament and knights procession sets. I also built a moc ...

Re: Peasant House

Thank you for sharing this nice moc. The thatch roof looks great and I really like the slightly recessed wattle and daub panels. Are those set back 1/5th of a stud? Photographing small offsets like this can be difficult. I would be interested in viewing a few "under construction" pictures ...

Re: Hogwarts Castle

While I am not a huge Harry Potter fan, I do appreciate a large well designed microscale castle. TLG is doing a good job adding the various HP related scenes in this set. I expect it to be very popular.

Re: Short movable legs and other CMF HP castly goodness

Hi Bruce, Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the new harry potter pieces. I agree that these will be great for castle. Fans have been waiting for years to get candle, flame, and a rectangular window lattice element. It would be nice to have the taller 2x3 lattice element in the future. The movea...
