Glad I wasn't the only one that thought that!

Care Bears?

I'd never say this one is irrelevant but I don't know that the youth of today would get into it as much as some of us would but I'd love to see an Asterix theme!

Haha... I managed to order that last year. I had memories of a cartoon and thought I'd try and track it down. I haven't watched enough to confirm that it is but it probably is. Childhood memories aren't necessarily accurate but I can't think of another show it might be.

Re: New sword in 10223 Kingdoms Joust?

And it seems to be the new standard short sword following early appearances in the Kingdoms chess set and the series 9 heroic knight. My chess set has it but I don't recall my joust set using it. Might have another look. Would be neat if the mould's been updated and Bricklink only lists the flat si...

Re: CCC X Master Builder

Extra bonus - tradition dictates that Mark must sit out next year's CCC, so the judges will have approximately 103 fewer entries to evaluate! ;) Sounds like a smart decision  But well done Mark. Well done all three to be honest, there were some wonderful builds (I loved the Robin Hood entries)...

Neat. It reminds me of a scene in The Eagle Has Landed.

Re: Castle and Tolkien sets for 2013

Well, I think I'm rather disappointed with what I've seen so far. I think that TLG were on a good thing with both the Fantasy Era and the Kingdoms themes in terms of colours, sets and heraldry. But what strikes me (as others have pointed out), it seems to be a throw back to the Knights' Kingdom. Wha...

Sounds like a great compromise!

On the topic of destressing, a mate of mine watches Thunderbirds to destress. Might suggest him to try Lego. I have to say though, my wife finds it therapeutic :D

Re: AFOL Influences

So what inspired most people on here to continue on Building with Lego once they went by the age sticker on the box? :roflol: I couldn't read or count  I tapered late teens but had built till then because I loved castles and Lego. Got back into it because I could and there was older sets that ...

On smaller ones I don't but larger ones or especially ones with rare sets / pieces I do. Hardly noticed the added cost.

Re: Some statistic about CCC10

Thanks for compiling this again for us. Maybe next year I'll actually get an entry submitted! :P Same. I started building something (my first attempt at a decent sized and details build) but then got busy with work and I've not touched it for two months. We have our first due in the next few weeks ...

Re: Dear Lego: Some Castle Product Suggestions

I must admit that I'm over lions too. It's not hard to come up with new heraldry so I don't know why TLG keep flogging a dead horse. I guess they're banking on every kid wants a lion. I thought the original lion was good as well as the recent non-King Leo stuff. The Black Falcons was great and the u...

Re: Settlers of Catan?

That is easily fixed with the event cards varient. This is true although next game I'd like to play using the dice for resources (because we like the randomosity of die) and event cards. Actually, I might revisit the two player card game (played that a few times and don't mind it) to check how the ...
