Re: Is Castle siege a money waster?

I also saw KCS on the shelves at the closest Lego store to me (Raleigh NC)... along with the Dwarve's Mine. I'm really surprised that these two sets have lasted so long... is this normal?? All the other 2007 sets and some of 2008 are gone. I have only recently gotten back into Lego so I have no clue...

Re: 10193 Medieval Market Village - Official Thread

A couple days ago I discovered the Toys R Us is now selling the Medieval Market Village, at least through their website. I guess it's no longer a Lego exclusive... it was actually on TRU's Buy 2 Get 1 Free sale last week (unfortunately my local store didn't carry it). Maybe this is old news, but it'...

Re: Toys 'R' Us Sale!

Its a good deal if you get some of the high dollar sets and have some addiional rewards coupons to throw at the sale. Yeah, that's what I did back in March, Got the Dwarves Mine, KCS, Shipwreck hideout, and my girl got a few larger city/creator sets... unfortunately for this sale all we could affor...

Re: Toys 'R' Us Sale!

For those that aren't aware, twice a year, Toys 'R' Us (TRU) has a buy 2, get 1 free sale and it's going on now! I, for one, wait just for these sales to get my goods. :) Hmm... how do you know they do it twice a year? Do you know when the are usually scheduled, or is it random? The last TRU Lego s...

Re: A question about the Dwarf Mine track

you are right, there are two spaces in between. i was going off memory. the problem is that they use a new locking system that makes it so you cant connect old tracks with new. the new tracks are solid without grooves, the old tracks have grooves and are different. Ahh... I think I can see what you...

Re: A question about the Dwarf Mine track

I was doing a custom dwarf mine, expanding on teh mine from teh set. the indy tracks are not compatible with the dwarf track. the dwarf track and carts have a 2 space space between tracks. the indiana jones set has 4 spaces in between, and is a different type of track. Do you own both sets? Because...

Re: Is Castle siege a money waster?

Here in France, Toys'r Us often set sales like buy 3 lego boxes, the less expensive of three for only 1 euro. Do you think there will still have KCS this december? Will they accept that I take 3 identical boxes? Not that I am greedy, but I have to plan this with some afols around. I don't see why n...

Re: A question about the Dwarf Mine track

Well, now that 7199 Temple of Doom has been out for awhile, has anybody bought it and tried to make the tracks work with the track from the Dwarve's Mine?? I still hope to sometime, but right now my budget is limited, with the MMV next on the list (got to get it before it disappears)...

The skeletons took away his weapon when they put him in a cage! One skeleton has two weapons, so perhaps the Halberd(?) was originally the soldier's:

Re: Weekly Set Review: Skeletons' Prison Carriage

I accidentally got this in a small lot I bought off ebay, and I'm really glad I did. I think this carriage is great!! The design looks very foreboding, and having three skeleton horses pulling it just adds to that feel. It's also nice that instead of giving the Skeletons a siege weapon, they gave th...

Re: Crownies!

Hello! Unfortunately the real reason behind there being only one human faction is as follows: Lego tries to avoid destinctively evil sides being impersonated as human characters. They can't avoid it with the City theme, nor with certain licenced themes. But they can and do so with most other themes...

Re: Drawbridge Defense

As an engineering student, I really appreciate the mechanism for raising the drawbridge (which is a very nice gearbox with a pawl to prevent the drawbridge from lowering until you want it to). It would be nice to see a mechanism and gate house like this one in a new full size castle. I agree. I thi...

Re: 7029-1 Skeleton Ship Attack

I was recently browsing the Pirates subforum at Eurobricks, and there is a thread about future pirate sets suggestions, and the idea of a ghost ship came up multiple times. I couldn't help thinking of this ship... it's pretty much a ghost pirate ship already. Shucks, the skeletons are even after the...

Re: 7029-1 Skeleton Ship Attack

This is a set I really wanted when it came out. I had not bought legos in almost a year and when I saw the new castle line, I wanted almost all of it. It took me till june 2009 to get kings castle siege. This is a nice set while the boat is not special, I love the dock. It, with a few more grays, c...
