Hmmm... I must admit, I wasnt looking forward to these new sets coming out (the fantasy doesnt appeal to me). However, I do like the dwarves. Their shield design seems to imply that they are subjects of the crown knights. The goblin/orc things are somewhat interesting, but the weapons are fairly lam...

My family background is Scottish/German (with a tad of French Canadian), I think it is a natural part of being interested in my family history to be interested in the middle ages. I am actually currently working on a custom lego faction which would utilise my family coat of arms. Like I said... I th...

Sidewinderl- I agree with you about that battle damage wall. If I planned on doing anything other than keeping the castle intact for display I would put some wall pieces in there and be done with it. The rolling walkway and the cantilever tower off of the main tower are weak as well. I had put some ...

I love the current 2007 lineup. I dont like the skellies, but hey they are something for kids to play with. The Crown Knights have become my new faction of choice and I have been working on several projects for them, I love the colors and the torsos. As for 2008, I just hope that the impulse sets wi...

Kings Castle Siege
Just as a quick note... If you dont already have this set BUY IT NOW! I had been drooling over it for a while, but in an attempt to be a responsible husband and father, I figured my family could use the money elsewhere. Luckly, I have an awesome wife who bought it for my birthday. I put it together ...

I for one support Walmart. I, at one point, personally experienced the great support they offer their employees in certain areas (although I am no longer employed by them), so I am a little biased. On the economic side of things Walmart isnt the problem with many of these toys lines... the manufactu...

I actually thought that a human driver would be nice so as to appeal to people who like more realistic castle sets. Goblins attacking a dwarf would make it like most every other set in the 2008 line up. Honestly, I would even like it if it was a peasant driving. I came up with a prototype set using ...

Carts for new Castle!
I would like to see a set in the $10 range include a cart or something of similar interest. I know Lego wants conflict in every set, so it seems like it would be possible to give a Crown Knight a small cart like http://www.classic-castle.com/sets/archives/6010.html with some supplies and have a gobl...

I cut my teeth on 6080 Kings Castle, so I am not very impressed by the Fright Knights, I find them rather silly. The Dragon Masters sets and Wolfpack Tower were the last sets I bought prior to my dark age. My older brother continued buying castle though so I have some exposure to these guys through ...

Hmmmm...
Hello everyone... this is my first post, but I have been lurking for years. I can hold my opinion no longer. Am I the only one who thinks that these sets are straying from the classic castle style that we have been praying Lego will go back to? - To me the mining operation is ok as a sub-theme set. ...
