Re: Minifigs or action figures?

one cannot buy a torso without any printing on it thats what brasso is for. and you know, when the GI joe guys first came out (WAAAAY back) Stan weston used to get really angry when people called them dolls. and my mom knows she can get my goat when she calls my action figures dolls. they...

Re: Minifigs or action figures?

ok, so i dont really feel compelled to post all that often, but this is a topic that I LOVE. while I understand that people don't like change (in general.. jeez remember the debates on fleshies??) IMO you have to understand that a company needs to grow and change. If no change, then we'd still be pl...

Re: Bye Bye Bionicle

you know, I liked Bionicle. Still do. There are a great many parts that came from bionicle that I use in my building, and lets face it - the weird minifigs made great demons. :D While I'm not going to lose any sleep over this theme's passing, it's still Lego. Of course my son really really really li...

love the cows.. hate the fact that the only way to get them is in a crazy expensive set...

I'd love a farm pack, or a wagon pulled by oxen or something for a cheap freak like me...

Re: Warner Bros. is Building a LEGO Movie

So... so far all we have is a rumor of a movie, and a trailer that showed a glimpse, and everyone here assumes it'll be bad? :? Jeez guys, at least give them a chance. I mean, yeah - it will probably be geared towards kids. It's a kids toy! That usually means cheesy. Fine, great.. I didn't watch sta...

Re: glue and lego torso designs?

whoa - what kinda glue stick did you use?? I've used them for years and had no problems. Basic 99 cent store glue sticks, and when you want to remove the glue and the paper "sticker" simply plop them in some warm water for a few minutes.
Seriously - Never had a problem..

Re: Your experience with clone brands

Tyco is still the best clone, I have a bunch left over from when I was a kid and they still work just as well as lego.. Ok, almost as well. :D there is another brand. Ah. Best lock Cobi - Cobi bought Best Lock as far as I remember the story. (corby? shoot.. now I'll have to look it up!) I'll tell yo...

Re: Repairing cracked arms and torsos

I have had to throw out a few torsos, but not as many as one would think. I'll use arms up until they can't hold a spear upright. :D at that point they become unusuable to me.... I still have a bunch of crusader torsos, but the problem I've had with them has been more the gold paint coming off and t...

Re: Lego Knights history

Marketing? The older sets never really had a "history". That was half the fun (for me anyway). You could come up with your own story line. Heck, they never even had names. Even the dragon masters and the dark knights you never knew who was good or bad. Were the wolfpack evil renegades/thei...

how do you forget you work in a castle? That's awesome!
Do you get to poke at people with sharp objects and stuff? Are you a modern day gong farmer? Are you the oil boiler?? So many questions... :spin:
