Looks good! More castles should come in white. Funny, I was almost expecting to see the restaurant...
Anyway, nice work!

Re: Roof Doodle
Whoa! What color are those tiles? Seems odd that I can't think of it. I like the technique, looks solid.

Re: Question on Recessed arches...
While I don't know if this is the technique used on that castle, it looks like it's recessed the thickness of the outer 'skin' of the top arch, with probably the four-stud-wide version of this part shoved up in the gap. The rest of the wall may just be held back by friction. Hope that makes any sens...

Re: BrickCon 2012 Collaborative Project: Age of Empires II
So, I was going to get something done with this, but I got a little distracted. Anyway, tonight I'll try again. I think the scale is fine. The buildings don't need to be minifig scale, as was said before, because in the game they're not to scale anyway. Actually, that makes it easier, at least I don...

Re: Bothellshire Bothy (shown at BrickCon 2011)
Very nice! It's great seeing it together on it's own, even looks like you've got a bridge over the river as well. I see your Brickcon badge in the back too. On round towers, my only experience was with a tower on a MOC I brought to last year's Brickcon, and I found a similar solution as AK_Br...

Re: Valdrang Fortress
Amazing! The details really make this, with the snow and detailed structure and the utilitarian shape. Only thing I can think of is the base around the rounded part of the tower looks lik it's resting on top of the snow, rather than the snow piling up on it, But overall, very impressive!

Re: BrickCon 2012 Collaborative Project: Age of Empires II
This has suddenly inspired me. I'm going to build one of the smaller units, probably a farm or house, based on the in-game images. I'll do it tonight and get a side-by-side comparison for tommorrow.

Re: Brickcon 2011 Lost-and-found
I lost a large ziploc bag of figs and accessories that I believe I left on the table behind PytonScape/Pirates. I do have some other lost items, but nothing that matches your description, I'm afraid. I'm sure I would've noticed the custom WALL-E. Although I'm sure I've sorted out everything I broug...

Re: Just a doodle
The right triangle's two shorter sides are 7 studs by 7 studs, so by the Pythagorean theorem, 7^2 + 7^2 = 49 + 49 = 98, aaaalmost 10^2, so yeah, the long side is just shy of 10 studs. I really aught to find a way to use it. And some of the other angles too, in a more creative way, since I think ther...

Amazing! It genuinely looks realistically proportioned and well thought-out. It makes me want to try something more functional too. All the little details are superb. I'm impressed!

Re: Idea for Collaborative Project: Brickcon 2012
I think following the isometric view would make more sense, and give it the same feel as the game. Really it would just mean twisting the buildings 45 degrees facing the outside of the display. Drop-in buildings would be easiest. The terrain can be separate, and maybe follow Base-8, with foliage etc...

Re: Ship
I like the tall, lean look of the vessel. The chains, the ballista in the front, the figs... it's perfect! Perfectly scary, too, wouldn't want to run across these guys on the high seas. Is there anything below deck? Overall, wonderful job! Now they just need a quiet little village to pillage...

Re: Walls of Tezchaan
Very nice! The walls are amazing, as is the scenery. You can really feel the atmosphere, as if the battle's just stepped it up. It'd be cool to see another scene in a similar style, or what's just behind that wall, but either way awesome job!

Re: Idea for Collaborative Project: Brickcon 2012
This may convince me to actually play the game. I played the demo of the first AoE way back when it came out, but never got the second game until recently. It sort of works on my computer, I should actually play around some more with it. Anyway, on the collaboration, I'd love to pitch in some buildi...

Re: Brickcon 2011 Lost-and-found
So I've got Blue Knight's figs, so it seems. However, I apparently have another bag of figs that are not mine, though they're looking rather tempting right now. If anyone else is missing figs, PM me with a detailed description and I'll see if what I got matches it.
