Brickcon 2011 Lost-and-found
I hope this is the appropriate place to put this. I have both a lost item and a found item, which tells me I need to be a little more thorough when packing up next time. First, I have a LEGO store bag with around two dozen desert-themed minifigs and two camels from the castle desert display. I'd lik...

Re: Mt. Bricktop (99% complete)
How does one even move such a monstrosity? That thing must weigh over 100 lbs. It's a secret! (Actually, it's hollow. Has a framework of technic beams to support it.) Still, it probably weighs a lot. I'll find out when I pack it up. PS, not sure how realistic it is to have people walking on lava Th...

Mt. Bricktop (99% complete)
I apologise in advance for the quality of the pictures. It was midnight and I couldn't get enough light on the MOC. So this is what I'm bringing to Brickcon. It's a mountain. http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6160/6191601896_5576a0b9a4.jpg With a little village over here: http://farm7.static.flickr.com...

Re: BrickCon Castle Planning
Is there anything directly behind my MOC? I know there's 20" of space, I couldn't remember if it was going to be filled in.

Re: BrickCon Castle Planning
I have three carts and a dozen peasants I'll have a (somewhat small) village as part of my MOC that could always use more peasants, if I don't pack it full by then, so you and anyone else is welcome to fill them in around it. Just got to finish the rest of it. Workworkwork... Two days before I have...

Re: BrickCon Castle Planning
I actually have some mocs that I didnt mean to build ( it was late and it just happened...) that would go nicely in some empty space if there is room. I made a cart with 4 horse carriage carrying a huge dragon head and can throw the dragon knight dragon in there with some scared lion knights runnin...

Re: BrickCon Castle Planning
I may have a few 16x32 tan plates (6 or more) for the desert layout. Other than that, my own MOC is swallowing up everything I've got, and I'll just be bringing enough spare parts for joining with the rest of the display. I will have figures though. Hundreds of figures...

Re: BrickCon Castle Planning
I'm going to be building mine up to the last minute... the hardest part will probably be stuffing it into my car. I can't imagine the nightmare of mailing them.

Re: uranus man trap
I like it, though I agree a better backdrop would also be nice. I think it'd be cool to have some kind of lure inside it. Jewels, food... something to make a hapless adventurer blunder into it. Just a thought.

Re: BrickCon Castle Planning
Is there going to be power available? I have some lights for my MOC that need power, but I don't remember if there'll be outlets running to the different display tables.

Re: Classic-Castle Sigfig Photoshoot 2011
I should bring one just to say I brought one. Actually, I might have something to bring after all, although I've never considered making a sigfig before.

Re: BrickCon Castle Planning
Is anyone doing any collaborative hill/cliff building? I was planning on building some additional cliff face beyond what I had at BrickFest 2009. Frank I'm also planning a rather large landscape. I could have a cliff at one edge that's Base-8 compatible, although I hadn't planned on it. Now that I ...

Re: BrickCon Castle Planning
I'm planning something big, maybe too big. My layout is currently 90" x 40", and my only worry is getting it finished in time. It'll take some floor space too, just parting a 30" section between tables and I've got plywood to span the rest of it. Once it's in a mostly-built state I'll...

Re: Planning your MOC
I usually draw something, like some others have mentioned. You don't need to be elaborate at first, just sketch out what important features you want, hills, buildings, important landmarks, etc. Next step is to see how big your collection really is. In theory, you could either take a small piece at a...

Re: Krak des Chevaliers
Amazingly realistic! As others have said, the only thing lacking is some detail. It's so huge and inviting, it'd be great to fill it with furniture, tapestries, etc. etc. And of course, all the hundreds (thousands?) of inhabitants it could hold. Awesome job!
