Re: Lenfald Introduction Challenge - Hunting
I love this scene. The tree design in particular, but also the texture of the stone wall and the overall pastoral ambiance. Makes me feel like I am across the way watching the action unfold.

Re: The Grand Joust of Gisellicburg
This is the best joust scene build I can recall seeing. (Is that a backhanded way of challenging someone to do even better? maybe :D ) The overall size combines with the attention to details to make a really lively and realistic scene. The kind of thing that should be in a store display or something...

Duct tape for armor...who'd have thunk? The creativity of CCers continually amazes me.

Innovative horns. Can you post a pic of the torso without the beard covering it? Is it a custom-made decal?

Nasty looking dude. Glad I don't have any gold. Love the torso you picked. Has a ruffian/bandit feel to it. The cyclops heraldry is cool, too.

Love the snow overhanging the roof edge and the overlapping shingles. Some of the many details that combine with the amazing angles to give the build both a realistic and fantasy feel. I tip my hat, good sir.

Have to say I too am fascinated by the real buildings this LEGO model emulates. And what a good job is done here! Almost feels photographic.

Nice work all around. I was going to make a comment about the interesting company you keep in the basement of your castle, but then I noticed it is your avatar. Must be a story there somewhere?

Re: River-Side Towers
Interesting technique to use the trans-blue. I like it. Makes the water look clear, like I would be able to see the bottom if I were boating past your towers. But maybe you want to add a contrast to indicate turbulence along the shore or at the bulkheads?

Love that tree! Makes a perfect backdrop for the action. Have not noticed that piece used as branches before. Will definitely have to experiment with that technique.

Cool build. Love the whole feel of the building and character set in that the landscape. I'd only go there with a small army and a wizard or two I think.

Re: Lego Desolation of Smaug sets!
Thanx for the links to the pics! I like all these sets, but having to buy Legos on a rather severe budget, the only set I can say for sure I plan to get is the Mirkwood army. Probably buy multiples, and sell off the extra Thranduil figs. I have numerous elf factions in my Lego world so these will be...

These are great. Really capture the feel of the scenes. Would be awesome for the sets to become official!
