what's in a name?
Uh hi. Yeah just a quick question here.
See I'm wondering if it's possible for a guy to change his name.
You know like from green knight to black knight.
I tried once but it didn't work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Just out of curiosity, if one wanted to make a new account with a new username, could an admin make their post-count equal to what it was on the old account ("could" not as in can-you-physically, but would-you-do-it?)

P.S. Don't worry Freak...I'm gonna be "Smitty" for a while

Names *CAN* be changes.
Note that this does not mean that names *WILL* be changed.
Also, post counts cannot be moved from user to user. If you create a new ID, you are back to being a Gong Farmer.

I thought that somewhere an admin said (probably in "CC Titles") that if you post a lot to raise your count, they'd just lower it. I was thinking then that that meant that technically someone could make a new account, and then an admin could raise their post count to where it was. Or something like that. Correct me if I'm wrong, though. Also, post counts cannot be moved from user to user. If you create a new ID, you are back to being a Gong Farmer.

Please do not confuse what can "technically" be done with what can be routinely implemented. Technically *I* can edit anything, by accessing the database directly.
This is not a pleasurable thing to do though, and thus will not be done to appease users that want to change their name. If you want to change your username, I do NOT suggest making a new account. This is likely to cause problems.
Instead, try bribing someone to change it for you. This may work.
