Classic-Castle Will Be Shut Down
Attention all Classic-Castle members:
The great forum upgrade is about to begin! We will be attempting to upgrade this forum to the new software version which will hopefully not only improve security, but hopefully improve your experience here as well.
However, in order to not lose any data (or users) during the great upgrade, the old forum must be shut down so the database can be properly copied and migrated.
So this Friday, March 6th, sometime after 12 pm Central Standard Time, this forum with be shut down.
The process could take hours. It could take days. If it takes longer than a week we will abort the process entirely.
We hope when the dust settles there will be nothing lost and everything will be fine.
However there is a chance something will go wrong. The documentation assures us that this forum will remain unchanged by the new forum software, so in a worst case scenario we'll do what FBTB has done - turn this forum into a museum and start over from scratch with the new forum. Second to worst case scenario is to continue to use this forum.
Use this time to build, come up with new ideas. We look forward to what you come up with.
In the mean time our sister site, the Forbidden Cove is prepared to host our users while they cannot access the forum. Your account here will not work there, so go ahead and join their forum now if you plan to hang out there.
Also, the CC Chat room (accessible from the Classic-Castle home page) will still be active, and at least one Admin or Mod will be there most of the time during this process, should you need a CC fix.
Thank you for your attention.

I've upgraded two boards to phpBB3 and it really is as painless as the documentation says it is. Good luck!

Trust me, I think I'm funnier than you do.
Why do I have to add the word "minifig" to my spell checker every time I use it?!

Here's hoping all goes smoothly.
And I just joined Forbidden Cove two days ago, without any knowledge of this coming.... Hmm. Strange coincidence. :|

Learning French.
Say it "ESS-MICK-GIN-ISS", with a hard "G", as in "get".
I'm a Pumpkin.
