New Avatars

Post by SavaTheAggie »

I've added 104 new avatars to the avatar gallery.

To view/use them, enter your profile, scroll down and click the 'Show Gallery' button.

You now have 6 pages of possible avatars to choose from: Two pages of Octagon Shield designs, two pages of Ovoid Shield designs, and two pages of Triangular Shield designs.

As always, you can still use your own, or use one of these.

Have fun!

Very nice, you should (if you have the time) put some figs up there for people to use.

People can always create their own avatar.

I'd suggest making a sigfig out of pieces you own.

Either that, or most figs don't cost more than $5 at BrickLink.com

Either that, or you can kindly ask a friend to take a picture of your fig for you.

Either way, if CC did add fig pictures to the avatar gallery, it would probably be generic figs, and not specialized ones.

I'm confused? Where did I say there was anything bad about generic figs?

The real issue is that it is easy for Tony to make smaller versions of his shields for people to use, and it is difficult to make images of figs, specialized or generic. Not prohibitively difficult, but many of the admins have busy schedules and fitting in an extra few hours worth of work.

My real question is why you need Admins to do this for you? If you'd like your avatar to be a generic castle fig, why not download an image from brickshelf (ie Jojo's gallery ), modify it to your needs, and upload it yourself?

Very true.I was just thinking of people who don't have a camera, but since you mentioned to go on brickshelf.com, it wouldn't be worth it.
