Hey guys,
Congratulations! Time magazine has named us the "Person of the Year". Well, I suppose it's not CC specifically, but it's all those people who create content and build communities on the web. Sounds close enough to me, so give yourselves a well-earned round of applause.

Well I'm honored... I'd like to thank my mother and the academy. When I started my work, I never intended to receive this kind of honor. I really had no thought other than the betterment of mankind in my own little way. Now, however, it seems that people have taken notice. And I can only say that I hope each and everyone of you will get out there and join me in doing your part...
