Login Trouble

Post by smcginnis »

My default web browser, Apple's Safari, isn't letting me log in. When I enter my username and password, and then click 'log in', it goes back to the un-logged in forum index, but my name appears in the 'Who is Online' section. Because of that, I can't view PMs or reply to topics, and I don't see new posts.

Thankfully my dad recently downloaded Firefox, otherwise I'd have to use the ancient Netscape or Explorer. But I was wondering if any other Mac users (i.e.: Bruce) are having this problem? Or maybe just anyone else in general?

Hmm. I have used my brother's Apple Laptop before without a problem. I think he had firefox, like you.

This is intriguing. I would like to see the solution to this problem.

Hmm... I've been doing a lot of Safari research these days, but with little success. I've never heard of this issue either...

I've decided to simply go to other forums and ask people if they've had these problems - it's better than actually trying to look it up. That's what I'm doing now, I'll tell you if I get any feedback about this or other problems safari and forums.

I deleted the cookies from C-C in Safari, and now it works. Must've been something wrong the cookies. But thanks for trying to help anyway.

Oops, sorry I didn't respond. I mainly use Mozilla, but haven't had problems with either Safari or IE.
